The people that worked for the company were very pleasant We were not happy with the service for several reasons We wanted to purchase shades that would be used on our screened in porch The salesman came to our house and brought samples of the materials and a brochure He stated that you could move the shades by having a motorized unit or a "pull down" We opted for the pull down, but when the shades finally came they were not pull down They have a long pole that you use for each shade and you must hold it above your shoulders and crank it to move the shades up and down It is awkward and not easy to use This is not what we thought we were getting When we first ordered the shades, we were called by the store to ask what we had ordered for they could not tell by the order what color we had ordered I described it and fortunately the correct one came When they were coming to measure for the shades, I was given a certain time that they would come I was walking down my block with my dog and would have been home early enough to be there when they were supposed to arrive when their truck came up my street They noticed that my street was before the other job and came to me first They did not need me to be home to measure and so the work was done However, if I had not seen them I would have been waiting and waiting for them to arrive They did not leave me a note and the main office would not be aware of this until the men came back at the end of the day I know this because I called the office myself I called the office after four weeks to see what the status was and they took a look and said oh they should have been here by now and they checked Finally the shades arrived and we made an appointment for them to come and put the shades upThe morning they were supposed to come they called and told us that there were parts missing and they would have to reschedule We were going on vacation so we had to call them when we got back The original order was made in April and we did not actually get the shades until July The product is sturdy and does the job we wanted them to However, we are not happy with them due to the difficulty raising and lowering them There were also too many other incidents that we were not happy with

The people that worked for the company were very pleasant. We were not happy with the service for several reasons. We wanted to purchase shades that would be used on our screened in porch. The salesman came to our house and brought samples of the materials and a brochure. He stated that you could move the shades by having a motorized unit or a "pull down". We opted for the pull down, but when the shades finally came they were not pull down. They have a long pole that you use for each shade and you must hold it above your shoulders and crank it to move the shades up and down. It is awkward and not easy to use. This is not what we thought we were getting. When we first ordered the shades, we were called by the store to ask what we had ordered for they could not tell by the order what color we had ordered. I described it and fortunately the correct one came. When they were coming to measure for the shades, I was given a certain time that they would come. I was walking down my block with my dog and would have been home early enough to be there when they were supposed to arrive when their truck came up my street. They noticed that my street was before the other job and came to me first. They did not need me to be home to measure and so the work was done. However, if I had not seen them I would have been waiting and waiting for them to arrive. They did not leave me a note and the main office would not be aware of this until the men came back at the end of the day. I know this because I called the office myself. I called the office after four weeks to see what the status was and they took a look and said oh they should have been here by now and they checked. Finally the shades arrived and we made an appointment for them to come and put the shades up. The morning they were supposed to come they called and told us that there were parts missing and they would have to reschedule. We were going on vacation so we had to call them
when we got back. The original order was made in April and we did not actually get the shades until July. The product is sturdy and does the job we wanted them to.
However, we are not happy with them due to the difficulty raising and lowering them.
There were also too many other incidents that we were not happy with.

We first contacted Windowz in the late winter months to give us an estimate on replacing one large palladium window and several bedroom windows which had weathered (cracked seals, rot, etc). The owner of the company arrived and provided a fair quote for the work. We agreed to move forward and the owner explained that another employee would come out to conduct a final measurement this was fairly inconvenient as we do not live full-time at the house. Nevertheless, we met the second employee at the house who made all the final measurements.

Once we agreed on an install timeline (late Spring), we received a revised quote much higher than the initial estimate. At this point we were way down the road making our decision, so we acquiesced and paid half of the new quote upfront.

On the install date, the owner's son showed up to supervise the install project. Almost immediately, he informed us there would be several more charges because of the rot around the large window (which had already been discussed with his father/owner and was "addressed" in the agreed-upon estimate). Nevertheless, we agreed (with little choice since our window had already been taken out). Then, the son informed us of other rot around the bedroom windows which we were not replacing right away. He offered to caulk the windows for us as a "favor" since he knew we would be replacing them after the summer.

A couple days after the window was installed (May), we realized the window had not been caulked on the exterior of the house by the company. This was noticed as we had water penetrating the house through the new window. We immediately alerted the business owner and he assured us the window had been caulked (even though he had never seen the window after the installation). He sent his son back to the house to inspect (without us there), and they again said the window was caulked. By the next time we arrived at the house (July), we realized the window was most certainly not caulked and hadn't been for the past two months.

The company acted very put-out that they had to deal with this (actually completing the window installation). To our surprise, they continued to act rudely to us even after they realized the window had not been caulked during the initial installation further, they blamed the house stucco for the water penetration not the un-caulked window.

Lastly, when we received our final bill, they had decided to charge us $315 for the "favor" of caulking the other four windows ($4 worth of material on a job they were already there).

Needless to say, avoid this company at any price...NOT worth the risk or rude experience. We don't normally leave reviews, however, this experience was SO bad, we couldn't in good-conscience not warn other folks in the Brunswick County area.
