follows:On April 23, 2016, *** *** *** purchased one *** ***, VIN#*** from Sales Representative *** ***, myself, of *** *** *** ***This vehicle had 192,miles on it at the time of purchaseThe original price of this vehicle was listed as $2,*** *** came, looked over the vehicle inside and out, test drove it with his familyOne he returned, he indicated that he like the vehicle very much and wanted to buy itAn exact description of work done to this vehicle was explained to *** ***A copy of the shop order was used to review that the *** received brand new PA State inspection and Emissions, a brand new front driveshaft assembly was installed and a synthetic oil change was doneThe total cost to prepare the vehicle for resale was $(A copy is included for review). At this time, we negotiated a $reduction of price for a final sale price of $2,We shook hands and proceeded to fill out paperworkA simple receipt was dawn up listing the seller, buyer, vehicle information and costThis receipt also listed that this purchase as was-is/where-isBoth *** *** and signed the receiptA copy was given to *** *** and one was kept for my file(A copy is included for review)In addition, *** *** was given an "as-is' "where-is' statement which he reviewed, then signed and dated(A copy is included for review). As with any vehicle that I sell, I reveal any and all information regarding my experiences with it, along with what mechanical work was performed and, if possible, information on the vehicles past lifeAt the time that *** *** took ownership, this vehicle was in good running orderThere were no taps, knocks or leaksThere were no issues driving or stopping this vehicle, and all gauges reflected values, as indicated by *** *** when he returned from his extensive test rideI want to add, of course, with any year old vehicle with nearly 200,miles on it, there is potential for anything to happen at any given timeBut at the time of this purchase, this truck truly ran and handled well!During its time with me, I drove it approximately miles without incident.2-Days Post SaleI received a call from *** *** which he indicated that he believed the "power steering was bad".I asked many questions related to power steering failure, to which his answers did not lead me to believe that there was anything wrong in this areathen asked if he could record and send a video of the noise he was trying to describeHe did sonoticed he was recording the right rear wheelI then called him and informed him that rear wheels have no connection to power steeringIt sounded like one of the drum brake shoes or retaining springs had possibly come loose, or possibly the parking brake was partially appliedindicated to him not to drive the vehicle, and that I would come to his house first thing the next dayI told him that I would check the vehicle out and fix the problem, if possible*** *** was very happy and complimented me extensively. The next morning, packed up my elderly mom for a "road trip", took my floor jack and what tools thought I would need and took off for our mile run to *** ***'s locationHe was not home, but left the keys in the gas filler doorFirst thing I did was open the vehiclenoticed several items out of placeFirst, the power window switch cluster on the driver's door pulled out and handing by the wiresNext, it appeared that someone had broken the front dome light and pulled it from its mount, breaking wire connections allowing them to short out against the metal chassis, resulting in the fuse blowing. At this point, neither the interior lights nor the radio workedI made note of these problems to be addressed after diagnosing the noise in the rear wheelthen started the vehicle and drove it all though the apartment complexNo noises were observed at allDash gauges all read and there were no oil or water leaks observed.I parked the vehicle back the original spot, blocked the front wheels and jacked up the rear, pulled both wheels then both drumsNo loose or broken hardware was foundIn fact, the brake shoes and hardware kits appeared to be almost newNo wheel cylinder leaks observedI replaced the drums, adjusted the shoes and then replaced the wheelsthen proceeded to repair the front dome light, reconnected the wires, and glued it back into placeinstalled the two bulbs and the lenses, placed blue masking tape to secure until the glue driedthen glued the power window switch bank back into the door panel, blue taped it to secure itFinally, located the blown A fuseI did not bring fuses with me, so took one from my mom's car fuse panelWhen inserted into the *** panel, all lights and the radio system came back to life.I then started the vehicle and drove it againAll seemed fine, until lightly applied the parking brake and continued to driveThe exact same noise occurred in the right rear wheelAs soon as released the brake, all was wellrepeated this several times with the same resultsIt needs to be noted that I did not hear the noise unless the parking brake was on while driving the vehicleconcluded that during the time that *** *** was hearing the noise, he was riding with the parking brake onI texted him myfindings, and explained what all didHe gratefully replied and was genuinely happy and satisfiedAfter this text exchange, my mom and set out to return home. This gratuitous trip took me almost hours, plus gas and tolls.I feel that I went above and beyond for *** *** in trying to help him with a problem that occurred after the deal was madeHonestly, there were no issues that was aware of still outstanding after my trip that day.As we all know, anything can happen at any time to a used car, and it appears that further issues were experienced with this vehicle, but I do not feel obligated to correct them.I stand by the fact that we made a fair and legitimate deal on this vehicle, and the deal was certainly as is/where is.I have printed copies in my file of all text conversation between *** *** and myselfI will be glad to make them available to you should you request

To Whom It May Concern:I am writing this letter regarding ID# ***My name is Bruce *C***, and I am the owner of Jeffrey's Auto World LLC, regarding the sale of a *** ***There is a general misunderstanding of the parties involved in this caseI sold this vehicle to *** ***
of *** *** *** *** in a dealer to dealer wholesale transaction*** then did extensive work on the vehicle and sold it to *** ***Although my name is listed on the chain of title to the vehicle (copy attached), *** *** was not my customer, *** *** was my customer*** *** was ***’s retail customer, and unfortunately any complaints of this nature should be addressed to him, not me.If I may add, although I have nothing to do with the transaction in question, I would like to add as a character reference my knowledge of *** *** as a totally responsible, upstanding dealer in what I may say is a difficult business to please everybodyI was surprised about the accuracy of *** ***'s version of what happened and asked *** about itHe went to great lengths to please this customer and drove hour to the customer to fix every problem that the buyer had, and he said the buyer was satisfied when he leftThis was all with an as is sale, where he did not have to go to these lengthsI offer this as a testimonial to ***’s overall good character. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the connection (or lack thereof) of Jeffrey’s Auto World LLC to this transaction, please don’t hesitate to contact meThank you.Bruce *C

I am rejecting this falsified statement from the seller of this lemon.
1 . He lied about the sales price. It was $3000
2 My mechanic did not say it was $900 for repairs
3 I did not use profane language as I was in public with many people in the room I have witness names
4 Mr K[redacted] threatened bodily harm and has since called me to threaten harm
5 the rack was leaking so bad the reservoir was empty. upon inspection and this sales co claims it passed state inspection and put a sticker on the windshield reflecting this....This is clearly fraudulent state inspection another illegal act
6 The seller stated the vehicle was not hit. It clearly was both front and rear
7. The seller offered to return my funds if I had a problem driving home. Needless to say He refused after threatening me and my family
8. Bottom line this man Bret K[redacted] and Maple Avenue Auto sales made up phony paperwork on the sale, evaded sales tax to [redacted] and continues to threaten me. It was hit hard in the front end I pray you help me as the car cannot be driven at this point. I am out over $3500 along with fear for my life and my family. America should not be ripped off by this man. I called the dealer they refuse to return calls or talk to me. Just keep threatening me and my family. Please do not let them do this to any other people

June 14, 2016Attached please find all paperwork associated with the above auto purchase transaction, as requested. have included copies of text messages showing my attempt at coming to a resolution. **. [redacted] has chosen to ignore my requests for a resolution. When we purchased this vehicle, **. [redacted] advised that he was selling the vehicle on behalf of the grandchildren of a friend who has recently passed away. It was a rather moving story about how his friend was ill and used the vehicle to help his grandchildren. It had 3rd row seating, it was in excellent condition, etc.etc.If you read the "character reference" from Jeff C[redacted], he states, that HE sold the vehicle to [redacted], who re-sold the vehicle to me. So, from the start [redacted] lied, and misrepresented himself and the vehicle to make a sale.2 days after purchasing the vehicle, there was a banging in the area of the wheel.I called him, and yes, he came to my home and repaired the vehicle and said it was because the emergency brake was "stuck'. No problem. Then, 2 weeks later I am driving on a major highway with my children and pregnant girlfriend and the car starts to overheat. Before I can even get to the side of the road, the engine light comes on and the car just stops. Dead stops...in moving traffic, on a busy highway.I call [redacted] and he tells me he will not help me, he will not repair the car and he will not return my money or a portion of my money. He then stops answering his phone. I tried calling, tried texting...nothing. No response.I only had the car for 2 weeks. There has to be some kind of implied warranty.I ended up having a mechanic come to where had the car towed, to check out and try and figure out what was wrong. Since [redacted] would not respond, it was a Iittle more involved for the mechanic because he didn't have any history or information of the repairs. The mechanic has informed us that #1: Someone tried to repair a leak by filling the resivoire with a copper filler. This is usually done to avoid the expense of a major repair. #2: The car has had some "rigging" done to the engine to make it drivable. #3-the water pump is shot and needs to be replace. This alone is about a $700 job because it will take about 8 hours to replace.Perhaps if **. [redacted] had responded to my many attempts at contact, I would have agreed to split the cost instead of insisting on him to repair.I have been left with no choice but to borrow the money do not have to fix a problem that **. [redacted] should have repaired himself.I have been advised by 2 mechanics that even with the repairs made, the vehicle is only worth about $1000 at the most. **. [redacted] sold it to me for twice that amount.I just want an amicable resolution to this issue. As I have stated, I am open to splitting the cost of the repair with **. [redacted] rather than asking him to repair it because he has already stated he will not return my money and quite frankly, would not trust that he in fact made the repair even if he stated it was done. I am not asking for the towing charges or the storage charges for the vehicle or the cost of the diagnosis of the vehicle issues.I feel as though I was taken advantage of and when he realized discovered his underhanded, sale to me, all communication stopped. It isn't right that he can sell a vehicle and a dangerous vehicle at that....and not be held accountable for his actions. In my eyes, he is a liar and a thief. He did whatever he wanted just to make a sale. He has no morals or ethics and needs to be stopped. My family could have been seriously hurt the day the car stopped, could have caused a major accident.I look forward to a expedicious resolution to this problem.Respectfully,

I am writing this letter in response to [redacted] Complaint #[redacted]. On April 14, 2015 I sold [redacted] a 2003 [redacted] for $1500 Cash. The next day, [redacted] contacted me and told me that he took it to his mechanic in [redacted] where he said he had the...

car looked over and found that the steering rack had a bad leak. when [redacted] called and told me this I told him that the vehicle was just ** inspected and checked over and should not have any major leaks like he was stating. [redacted] told me that the cost to fix the car was going be upwards of $900 dollars. At this point, I felt like something was not right and I asked [redacted] to bring the car back to my mechanic for further inspection. When my mechanic checked the car out he discovered a very small leak from the steering rack and told me this is nothing more than wear and tear of a 2003 Vehicle with 118,000 miles. I called [redacted] and told him what was discovered and that this was common of a vehicle of this age. At this point, [redacted] insisted he wanted a new steering rack put in the car so we both agreed that Iwould buy the part and [redacted] would pay the labor, which was going to cost approximately$275. As soon as our conversation ended, I ordered the part. While waiting to receive the part, Ispoke with the customer on several occasions to let him know the status of the order and to make sure everything else was up to par. On the day I was scheduled to receive the rack from UPS, I spoke with the customer and everything was fine. I then received another call from him later thatday screaming and using profanities toward me saying that he wanted his money back and that this was ridiculous. At this point, I wanted to do right by my customer, so I assured him thevehicle would be finished as quickly as possible. I contacted my mechanic to make sure the vehicle would be done in a timely fashion. When the car was finished, I contacted [redacted] and let him know the car was done and ready to be picked up. A few hours later, I received another phone call from [redacted] stating that I needed to come to the shop and give him $100 dollars toward his bill. At this point, I was confused because I had already paid for the part and he was to be responsible for the labor. He told me his bill was $298, so I reminded him that I quoted him a cost of approximately $275. He argued saying that I told him $175, which was completely falsebecause the cost of a repair like this would normally be much higher, but my mechanic gave hima discount because he was a customer of mine. After reminding him that he was quoted approximately $275 for the repair, he started screaming and using offensive language towards me. I could not believe what was happening because I had put a lot of time and effort into making him happy. I did exactly what we had agreed upon. The customer was threatening the mechanic I use and his employees, so I asked him to please be professional and courteous, as the mechanic had did him a favor He continued to speak offensively, so I asked him if I should come there to resolve the matter.. The customer was refusing to pay his repair bill. He then started threatening me, so I warned him that I would end the phone call, which I did. Finally, just when I thought this was all over he called me one last time at about 8:30 pm that same night and asked me what I was going to do for him. I told him that I already did everything that I could do and that this is what we had agreed upon. I told him that he bought this vehicle AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied but I still went forward and helped him, with no obligation to do so. The customer acted very unprofessional and was offensive to my affiliates and I. I had no obligation to continue to help him after he purchased the vehicle because it was sold AS-IS, but I wanted to make a fair deal with him; which I did. Unfortunately, the customer tried to take advantage of the situation, but that is not the agreement that was made. I have the bill of sale, which states, AS-IS: THIS MOTOR VEHICLE IS SOLD “AS IS" witHOUT ANY WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THE PURCHASER WILL BEAR THE ENTIRE EXPENSE OF REPAIRING OR CORRECTING ANY DEFECT THAT PRESENTLY EXISTS OR THAT MAY OCCUR IN THE VEHICLE. The customer willingly signed this bill of sale, knowing exactly what is said and what he was signing. I am always willing to assist my customers, which is exactly what I did in this situation. I do not intend to offer anything further to the customer, as I already held up to my end of the agreement.Regards,Brett K[redacted]
