We did check the vehicle out as a courtesy after you called and said the car was not starting, we verified that the GPS system was correctly functioning and contacted the company to have them run the diagnostics available to them and everything showed to be good on their end.  At this time we...

checked the battery with two different types of load testers and both tested the battery to be faulty, the battery is supposed to have 765 cold cranking amps and it was showing 555 on the digital tester.  We informed you that the only thing we could find that could cause the vehicle to not start at this time would be the battery, the alternator was found to be charging properly.  Because batteries can fail at any time it was recommended to install a new battery and that is when you stated that the battery shouldn't be bad now even though it is nine months later, we attempted to explain that batteries are consumable items and the time of failure is not predictable.   It was at this time you brought up about the rear seat belts, this is the first we have heard about the seat belts and would never knowingly have allowed the vehicle to be on the lot that way.  Even though it has been nine months since the purchase we can get replacement belts for the rear, we will need you to bring the vehicle up so we can verify which belts we are needing and then will schedule a time for installation when we have them here, they will have to be ordered.
