FYI - The message below was just sent (by me) to [redacted] via MapQuest's support interface.--Hi again, [redacted]My name is [redacted] - I manage the Customer Support group for MapQuest.I want to start by apologizing for the less than great experience you had with our bookings site, and offer up both a...
short- and long-term resolution for you. For your information, I am sending this same reply to both this support inquiry and the corresponding Revdex.com case. For a short-term resolution, I have spoken with my contact at [redacted] and they informed me that as a good-will gesture, they contacted the hotel directly and worked out an exception to the no-cancelations policy on this specific reservation. You will be granted a full refund of $103.96 within the next 7-10 business days.To clarify, every individual room sold via MapQuest/[redacted]'s bookings.mapquest.com integration is unique and will have a specific cancelation policy - in many cases, if you book far in advance your cancel/change policy may be more flexible. Bookings that are made in the more immediate term, which sometimes have lower rates, may be accompanied by more strict cancelation policies. For a more long-term resolution, based on the comments you made in your Revdex.com submission specific to your experience on our site, we are looking into the User Experience from a Product perspective and realize that there are improvements that need to be made to the user-flow, especially focused on ensuring that the dates being chosen for Check-In and Check-Out are explicitly confirmed before the end of the process. We will be working on a better User Experience for this specific workflow in the near future, and I really appreciate you pointing out the experience you had as this definitely helps us to understand how we can improve our products.I hope this information helps, and again I will be submitting this same message as a reply on the Revdex.com case. Please feel free to reach back out to us by replying to either the Revdex.com case or this support request if there is anything else we can do for you.All the best,[redacted]MapQuest Support

This is the extent of the information currently at my disposal, but feel free to contact me as needed. Thank you, again. Sincerely, [redacted]. [redacted]
