I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowRegards, [redacted] This man is and absolute liar I never called him a name only asked why the price numbed he said to me I should have gotten off my lazy as and came down here myselfThan after I reported him he called and said you [redacted] you can call whoever you like and hung up on meYou should be able to tell what a guy he is by the words he used in his answer to you I want this man to refund this year woman who he took advantage ofThis man is lying in his response and I will also contact the attorney general office [redacted]

Ms [redacted] has extremely cheap white metal rims with plastic covers that look like shiny metal chrome The "white metal" rims are important to stress because they are notorious for mixing badly from a chemical standpoint with aluminum lug nuts What I mean is that they completely freeze together and can't be taken off the car In other words, the lug nuts are frozen, and not even all our fancy equipment, nor air ratchets, nor lubrications, nor whatever can loosen them In this situation, when a customer has a safety problem such as "no brakes", you have to pick the worse of two evils Either you do nothing and allow the customer to crash her car because the brakes are no good, or you torch the lug nuts with heat in order to remove the lug nuts and thus fix the brakes In this case, option B melted the plastic fake rim, and two studs had to be cut out.I did make a deal with the husband/boyfriend/brother yesterday when he was screaming at me about the damage He said that he got the rims and tires at [redacted] over on William Street, and " [redacted] could have taken those front tires off without causing any damage" I said great, I'll make you a deal...."you go over to [redacted] and have them put your car on a lift, remove the back two tires, and take a picture and send it via cell phone to me.....I'm less than minutes from [redacted] ***......the minute I get the picture I'll come over to [redacted] in person and inspect the car If [redacted] was able to remove the back two tires without and damage to the rims or lug nuts I'll reimburse your money on the spot" It was a sucker's bet, no way in hell are those back tires coming off without damage. Now Ms[redacted] has a problem she doesn't want to face She bought her own pads with every intention of saving money by installing them herself That wasn't possible, because the lug nuts were frozen in the front, so she came to me, but wasn't kind enough to let me in on her little problem Now she knows damn well that the back tires are frozen as well, but I never touched them [redacted] had the same problem I had or I would have received that picture That's not possible, so now she's trying the Revdex.com Safety always trumps cheap shiny plastic nonsense She won't win this argument I told him and her, take a loss on this cheap equipment, and go get good rims and new lug nuts all around....you don't want to be stuck on the side of a road with a flat tire and no chance in the world of getting the tire off your car to change it[redacted] ###-###-####ManagerMidas

This guy is actually teaching our children in Buffalo, NY, know secret here why the test scores are so low First off, he never paid me any money, nor can he produce a receipt otherwise Second, he goes to a back alley shop to cheaply get his car repaired, not my shop When the back alley shop needs help, I help them In this case the alignment was terrible I fixed it for them, and then this guy goes crazy that his alignment is off and just continues to call non-stop Finally, after days of whining he brings his car back to me, and at this point he hands me the keys and wants the problem rectified NYS DMV law states that once the keys are handed to the shop owner, this implies automatically that the shop owner has full rights to do whatever he feels necessary to fix the car, as long as it's within reason and legal In this case, if a customer says his alignment is off, it is very reasonable, as a matter of fact it's impossible not to test drive the car So I'm on he highway driving his car, and the alignment is straight as an arrow, so I call him and ask, "where did you test drive your car to determine that the alignment was off", he tells me Niagara Street I tell him that's impossible, the road is riddled with pot holes and construction, not to mention has a huge crown I explain to him how to test drive his car to really check his alignment is in the middle lane on the highway His mileage claim is stupid I'm 6'4", 280Lbs, and his car is a Nissan Sentra that's about 5' long Exactly how comfortable do you think I was with my knees past the dashboard, I might have drove or miles, but not miles Bottom line, there is no refund, there was no payment, and this guy is whackedI did not discuss in detail my master plan to fix his alignment because there were no details, I did nothing, the alignment was dead on By deI mean the steering wheel was straight and the TOE was perfect

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The owner of MAPS Automotive is lying: 1.)He did not show my husband or myself any worn parts, nor did he call (as was requested) before proceeding with work beyond the rear brakes for which I brought the vehicle in. 2.)His comment that I "went nuts on the Midas International website..." has absolutely no basis--even for exaggeration, since I have not gone online to any website except the Revdex.com's website to file this complaint I have no access of my own to the internet, and am filing this complaint through the Revdex.com with the assistance of a friend Even if this vendor gets to keep the money he cheated me out of, he cannot clear his conscience without making things right by issuing the refund I can live with the fact that I was taken advantage of in this case, but it clears my conscience to know that I have done what is right by letting other parties know that they should be cautious in choosing to do business with MAPS Automotive and its ownership/management. Regards, *** ***

[redacted] has no one to be mad at but her husband.  She was not there when the work was done, but her husband was.  She may have thought she needed only back brakes, but she was wrong.  We visually showed her husband the problems, and he gave the ok to do the work that was needed....

Plain and simple, this was not a sales job done over the phone, this was a reasonable adult looking at his own truck and authorizing the work.  This case is stupid, and she has already gone nuts on the Midas International website to no avail.  She will get no refund, and the whole thing with the lug nut is crazy.  We have 6 bays, 6 air lines, and 6 pneumatic guns, but somehow we couldn't tighten one lug nut, REALLY!!!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Regards,  [redacted]This man is and absolute liar I never called him a name only asked why the price numbed he said to me I should have gotten off my lazy as and came down here myself. Than after I reported him he called and said you [redacted] you can call whoever you like and hung up on me. You should be able to tell what a guy he is by the words he used in his answer to you I want this man to refund this 93 year woman who he took advantage of. This man is lying in his response and I will also contact the attorney general office.   [redacted]

I did not discuss in detail my master plan to fix his alignment because there were no details, I did nothing, the alignment was dead on.  By dead-on I mean the steering wheel was straight and the TOE was perfect.

Can somebody at the Revdex.com that understands cars and labor rates please get involved with this case.  Labor rates are labor rates, and they don't change.  Sometimes a job is done quicker, and you can move faster to another job, that's how "A Techs" make so much more money than a "C...

Techs".  If my labor rate is $100/hour, and the job books at 1.5 hours, I will charge $150 all day long.  If my mechanic takes 45 minutes to do the job in real time, I still charge $150....If the mechanic takes 3 hours to do the job, and it happens all day every day, I still charge $150.  Because the job took three hours I can't charge the customer $300, that would be illegal, wrong, whatever.  The door swings both ways, but the booked time flat labor rate doesn't change....New subject, let's discuss his leaks.  Ever fluid in his car is leaking, I chose the transmission fluid as my original repair because that one was leaking in my hair, that one was the worst leak, and a transmission is very expensive to fix if the leak is not addressed immediately.  Upon his second visit, he was furious that his transmission fluid was still leaking.  I walked him under the car with a flashlight, and showed him that every component under his car was leaking except the transmission.  I showed him the new line/s we installed, and I showed him all his other problems.  I pray he doesn't come back, I'm getting to old and grumpy to listen to these young punks.  I owe him nothing, there will be no refund.  Pat R[redacted]...Owner/Operator....[redacted].

You couldn't possibly imagine how many people call everyday inquiring about the price of an oil change.  They never identify themselves, and half the time they don't even give the right car description.  Apparently Mr. [redacted] thinks he can make an unidentified call, and then somehow an...

old lady walks into my shop and I'm suppose to know it's his mother.  Speaking of his mother, her Cadillac had 2,000 miles on it total, and on the oil cap in BOLD letters it said DEXROS oil only.  I explained this to her well before the oil change and she did not like the price, she wanted only the basic oil.  I told her that the BASIC oil change is what is on the oil cap in her car, if you want to upgrade fine, but we never downgrade for legal reasons.  I also gave her the option to go somewhere else, but she agreed to have us do what was right.  3 hours later sweet old Mr. [redacted] called me every name in the book for ripping off his mother.  I was a liar, a cheat, a con artist, and unethical.  Well, Mr. or Mrs. Revdex.com, the customer is not always right....who I am is a West Pointer with a chest full of medals for defending aes in this country like Mr. Bennett.  I'm kind most of the time, I'm ethical all of the time, I'm never politically correct,  but I never cheat anybody.  You question my integrity, you're about to have a real bad day.  I'm not going to apologize, there will be no monies reimbursed, this lady got a fair deal, I don'y care if she's 33 or 93, the car is the car.  Mr. [redacted] gives me to much credit, does he really think we know what oil goes in every car on the street over the phone, you really have to pop the hood and read the oil cap on every car. Some Cadillacs take Mobil 1 only, some take 5w-30, others take 5w-20, but hers took 5w-30 DEXROS, which is a synthetic oil that can withstand the heat from thin-wall aluminum engines.  I have no idea, how much an oil change will cost until the hood is popped and the oil cap is examined.  The woman is driving a $50,000 car, my estimated price quote for somebody else's Cadillac over the phone was like $10 -$20 off from what I charged her, why am I wasting my time with this it.  How could he even possibly begin to imagine that I would have known this car belonged to his mother.  Funny thing is, if he would have walked in the door I would have charged him the same price, he would have bhed about the phone quote, I would have given him the option to leave, and he would have preceded to have us change the oil because I would have shown him the oil cap just like I did to his mother.
