Poor quality installation of flooring and the response (reason) given was not adequate, nor acceptable. I had another professional take a look at the work they suggested the same.
- I'll pay the balance after I see the floor and approve. I had somebody take a look at it today and they are suggesting I approve it first.

- We have problem with the quality of installation. I'm sending photos. This is a sampling. One room in pretty much entirely like this and squeaks when you walk on it. The other two rooms are almost as bad. This is unacceptable. Also there was no care in not using damages pieces, nor was there any thought process in the placement of the boards.

JM- I received your text. We have been doing hardwood for 30 years and installed the job per industry standards. These boards are to be installed in a random manner. We did pick out those that were damaged. The scratch and marks can be repaired with emery cloth and urethane. There are usually touch up kits ordered with the wood. As for the floor squeaking - most floors are installed with Staples as they go further into the existing floor. That is a common complaint with cleat use. I am sorry you are not happy but we have never had a complaint about our hardwood install. The wood is a machined product that has ivaried sizes and can create some larger and smaller spacing. If you would like us to come and address these issues - the bill needs to be paid in full. We will setup a time to meet you directly and get your concerns addressed.

*** -I had a somebody else install the living room and none of these issues occurred. I am still not satisfied with the job and will investigate my options as a consumer. You also seem to not address the numerous numbers of gapping. Again, this did not occur with the living room where cleats were used.

DO NOT HIRE!!!

I hired Marberger’s Contractors to upgrade my shower. This included removing the old tiles, installing a cement board, new tiles, grouting, and a niche. They did a terrible job installing the tiles, with the majority being completely uneven where they looked like a set of stairs, and also with the grout work where the grout was a complete mess covering the white subway tiles which they never cleaned, and cracking or missing in many areas.

On top of this, they initially estimated it would take 3 – 4 days, which in turn ended up being over two weeks. We paid them 50% upfront and the remainder of the 50% when they claimed it was done. Unfortunately my husband made the payment before inspecting the job, which would not have happened if I was home.

We complained to Marberger’s who stated they would come back to inspect the work. In the meantime I had two separate contractors come to my house and they both stated that their work was not salvageable and the shower had to be completely redone. When the worker for Marberger came back, he said nothing was wrong!!

He offered to clean, but at that point I did not want them in my house anymore. After continuing to complain and requests for some type of restitution, Marberger’s ended up ignoring my text messages, calls, and voicemails, and I had to hire another contractor to do the job.

Marberger’s Contractors are a RIP OFF!
