[redacted] The company' s response in totally unacceptable. The popping and groaning made by this door is abnormal and I consider this garage door to be unsafe. I have had other uninsulated garage doors in the past and none have ever done this. I will be contacting the manufacturer and requesting their response to this problem. I do not wish any more contact with this company unless the door completely falls apart and injures someone. I wish to thank Revdex.com for their assistance in this matter.
At the time the customer purchased the non-insulated door he was given the option to purchase one of the insulated doors. He declined and purchased a non-insulated garage door. That type of door will make sounds. This coupled with the start movement of an older operator contributes...
to the sound made by a Non-Insulated garage door. There is no insulation to absorb the sounds produced from the opening and closing movement. These doors tend to be noisier than an insulated garage door. The customer incorrectly states the Manufacturer provides an installation warranty. Precision Door offers a New Door Warranty. Our warranty covers the Installation/workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation. The customer states incorrectly that Precision Door has refused to honor the warranty as contracted. On August 18 the customer called us out because he found a small wave in the metal of the support strut. We returned and replaced it with another new support strut under our New Door Installation Warranty. At that time when he was asked about the door he made no mention ofany problem. Then again on August 28th [redacted] was dispatched as a New Door Installation Warranty call. As the customer stated [redacted] did spend over an hour going over every part of the door to find a problem with the door itself or the installation. [redacted] found that the installer did indeed install the door correctly and there were no defective parts or panels from the Manufacturer. We did honor our New Door Installation Warranty and will continue to do so.The customer asked [redacted] about the Insulated Steel Back garage door. At the request of the customer [redacted] did speak to the owner of Precision Door. In an effort to satisfy the customer and keep him as a customer the owner offered a $450.00 credit toward the purchase of the door that he wanted. We understand he is not satisfied with his choice of the non-insulated door and are trying to work with him. We have no market for used doors and are not able to resell the door he used for 20 days. Every effort is being made to satisfy and retain him as a customer.
