showroom so we could be sure. He said he didn't feel like bringing it so the picture would be enough. I gave a recommendation of a color, he selected a larger piece that I wanted to save for a bigger job. I showed him a smaller piece that I would use that is the same color and to save on material. He agreed. His friend came to pick it up and after waiting for over half an hour (an adjustment to a piece needed to be made that was not previously told to us which usually costs an additional labor fee - but we did it for free) he came up to me and said it was not the same color. I said that it was and that is what the first man selected and then he left the office. The first man came back over a week later to tell me it was not the right color but he had installed it anyways. He came back a second time with a small piece of the original and held it up to the big piece. Now, this material is quartz, as it sits in the sun over time, it does tend to fade. I explained this to him and also used the example of putting 2 white paint samples together that are one shade different; together, the difference may look exaggerated but just an inch apart, they are essentially the same color. He did not agree but ultimately, he got what he wanted, he paid only $200 with additional labor done for free. I DID NOT tell the man who came to pick up the pieces to leave the store. I DID walk away from the last conversation we had because the man began to curse and demand we make him free pieces. The additional $40 was justified because the material was cut and polished in 2 days time which is quicker than normal turnaround time.
