we sold Mr [redacted] a car that was sold as is as I stated earlier he could have purchase a warranty and refused to do so It is the policy of the company to not do any repairs to a car that is sold as is and this was told to Mr [redacted] at the time of purchase on documents he signed I don't know what else we could have done Craig [redacted]

I have checked on Mr [redacted] deal and he is right he did purchase a warranty for the amount of $which we are canceling and because he financed the truck with [redacted] we are refunding that amount to them and they will take it off his balance dueIn regard to the purchase Mr [redacted] paid minus a $dollar rebate which leaves a balance of $plus state taxes which comes to $total price I would be more than happy to review all these figures with Mr [redacted] anytime he desires he can call me at [redacted] and would be happy to go over all the figures with him Craig C [redacted] General ManagerBaytown Ford

This is the third time the customer has tried to bring the vehicle inWe let them know that we will need the vehicle for the day for diagnosis and they always refuse to leave vehicle here. There is no way to have a vehicle diagnosed for multiple issues that it was brought in for, in one dayParts have to be ordered for this vehicle as wellWe would love to diagnosis this vehicle if the customer is willing to leave it overnight

Mr [redacted] purchased the [redacted] in question on 8/10/at the time of purchase Mr [redacted] was told and signed three documents that said the car was sold as is.Mr [redacted] was also offered an extended warranty and refused and signed another document saying he refused itWe understand that Mr [redacted] is upset that his car needs repairs however we feel that we have done everything we can do to protect the company and the customer, we can't start repairing his car because that would imply that we are giving a warranty which we are not I hope this clarifies our position Craig [redacted] General Manager

MR. [redacted] NO WHERE DO WE STATE ANY TIME YOU HAVE TO BRING THE CAR BACK AND WE SOLD THE CAR AS IS AND MADE NO GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND I AS I STATED BEFORE YOU SIGNED THREE DOCUMENTS THAT SAID THE CAR WAS SOLD AS IS AND EVEN REFUSED TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.WE WOULD NOT HAVE SOLD THE CAR WITH A KNOWN PROBLEM AND IF IT HAD ONE WE WOULD HAVE DISCLOSED IT AT TIME OF PURCHASE, IT IS UNFORUNATE THAT THAT PIECE BROKE IN THE TIMING BELT WE COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THAT AND I OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE PART $200 BUT WILL NOT REPAIR IT FOR NO CHARGE AS THAT WOULD CAUSE ME TO GIVE YOU A WARRANTY CRAIG [redacted]

Regards,
I attempted to return the vehicle within the allotted time given by the dealer. They refused to take the car back. When we attempted to ask questions about the service history of the car I was told that the car had only an oil change done on it by the service people. It is my contention that the dealer knew this vehicle had an issue with the motor and offered it for sale knowing completely well that the vehicle was defective. when questioned about this the used car sales manager stated, well it is a used car and not our responsibility to guarantee that the vehicle was not defective when you purchased it.[redacted]

The bottom line is Baytown Ford had this car for sale. Less than a week after purchasing it the motor started making noise. I returned the car to Baytown Ford. If the issue would have happened 2-3 weeks after the purchase I could not complain. But the issue happened less than 6 days after purchase. I have tried to work with Baytown Ford to resolve this issue and it remains the same. The [redacted] did not last a week before there was an issue with it. But Baytown Ford would rather loose my future business and my families future business that repair the defective equipment. Baytown Ford has refused to repair the defective vehicle Baytown Ford can say anything to me and the Revdex.com. But the facts are the same, Baytown Ford sold me a 2010 [redacted] that was defective and at the very least they should have known that the part was defective and informed me of the defect. Instead they sold me a Defective vehicle and has refused to stand by the vehicle. I stand by my statement that Baytown Ford should have known about the defect and informed me before the purchase. We will inform all of our family and friends about the treatment I have gotten from Baytown Ford.
Regards,
