Marc Ialenti is truly a smoke & mirrors type of lawyer. RUN, do not walk away from this tired ol' shyster...he lures you in with promises on everything under the sun at the initial free consultation that you have an easy case, it will move quick and then drags his feet on everything, does not work on your case, never returns calls or emails, even missed a virtual court conference in his OWN office!
He is a one-man trainwreck...trust me if you hire him you will be worse off than before and broke! ANYBODY you choose will be better than this clown!

Do not believe any positive reviews that may be posted about this lawyer! He is a terrible lawyer. He threw me under the bus after 12+ years of a divorce proceeding, and signed away the ability of my ex to collect my pension that she was not entitled too under the judgement of divorce, without even notifying me! He even agreed to allow her to collect my pension arrears for 4 more years than I have actually been retired for! He can not count, does not remember what he is doing, and tell you whatever you want to hear and than forgets about it all and does nothing to resolve matters. Imcompetent at best.
I have been trying to get Marc Ialenti to finalize my divorce for the past 12 plus years. I agree with the other reviews that:
- Marc Ialenti does not communicate with his clients. He never returns telephone calls or answers emails, and leaves you in the dark, guessing what is going on.
- he practices my himself even though he lists other lawyers of counsel. In fact they all have their own law firms.
- His staff is rude and abrupt and does not know anything, does not send out documents that they are supposed to, and even hangs the phone up on clients...
- He talks a good game, but he certainly cannot walk the walk as they say
- He has caused me much grief, anxiety, and stress and simply does not care!
- He did not show up in court to represent me, nor inform me of the court date
- He does not send any documentation that he is in receipt of his clients to keep them informed or discuss matters. Everything is a surprise after the fact, and the results are often catastrophic.
- I will be filing a formal complaint with the Bar Association against him.
- He has misrepresented the facts to me, and has not shown up in court when proceedings have been held, and never notified me of court dates, motions filed, etc.

- He signed a stipulation without my knowledge and consent which allowed the opposing attorney to file a motion to collect monies that they were not entitled too per the divorce decree issued by the court. He never informed me of what he did, the motion filed by the opposing attorney, and did not appear in court to protect my interests. When I finally found out after being served a judgment, he refused to respond to me, knowing full well that what he did was going to cause me irreparable financial damage.
- Marc advised me that he had filed for the Quadro with Lexington in order for me to collect the DRO for my wifes pension as per the divorce decree. I paid him to do so, including the filing fees, and for 2 1/2 years he just strung me along with lie after lie, saying that the Quadro had been filed, that it took time to process, he was following up with Lexington to expedite matters, and that I needed to be patient. He also advised that Lexington would obtain all of my ex's retirement documentation, calculate all the arrears that were owed, and I should not worry. The sad fact is that he never ever filed with Lexington for the Quadro, lie to me for 2 1/2 years and told me what I wanted to hear, and at the end of the day I had to pay for another attorney from his office to finally file for the Quadro to be able to obtain the DRO pension payments going forward. No application was made for the pension arrears for a period of 6 years, I now need to hire another attorney to file motion and subpoenas that Marc Ialenti should have done in the first place to obtain the necessary information for me to be able to collect $70,000 in pension DRO payment arrears. Marc Ialenti could care less.
