before purchase.[redacted] as known on [redacted]) messaged me on December 19, 2016 inquiring about the bracelet and what would be the lowest price I would accept. We negotiated back and forth on December 22, 2016. Through [redacted], she asked if it was a personal piece I owned and replied yes because it was mine and was worn by me for years. own a retail jewelry store and had purchased it from an individual. When asked if it came with a certificate said no because had misplaced it after several years. However, assured her it was authentic, as had personally purchased it with a certificate. I told her I would give her an appraisal on the bracelet, as I am GIA certified. I am 100% certified with a license and can submit my certificate as proof. Please note that in the 20 years plus, have never had an issue with an insurance company for not noting my license number on appraisals.I am not aware of the "old screw system” in regards to the Cartier Love bracelet because I am not a Cartier boutique. At no point was being deceiving because I am not familiar with the change as I am not a Cartier boutique. Years ago through my retail store I had purchased a previously owned Cartier Love bracelet size 17. I had decided to sell my size 17 bracelet because again purchased a previously owned Cartier Love bracelet size 19. The size 19 bracelet purchased is older as it was previously owned by the individual for some time, again was not aware of "the old screw system". purchased it, liked it and it fit so I kept it. Prior to purchase, [redacted] has stated that she had personally gone to Cartier and tried on a size 17 bracelet. Why wasn't she informed of "the old screw system" or "the new screw system"? If it didn't fit why did she continue with the purchase of my size 17 Cartier Love bracelet? [redacted] even messaged me on December 22, 2016 through [redacted] saying she had used a size 17 ribbon to measure her wrist and "the ends of the ribbon meet but does not overlap". She stated that, " | don't know what's considered small....my right one is bigger" in regards to her wrist size.[redacted] asked for my phone number at which point we discussed the payment terms of $3700, in which her sister, [redacted], would pay. The bracelet was to be shipped by us to [redacted] in Hawaii. [redacted] made payment on December 24, 2016. During the transaction, [redacted] was on the phone with [redacted] and it was reiterated that there are no returns and to make sure it fits. Even [redacted] made a comment that the bracelet looked small and if she were sure it would fit. [redacted] assured her she had tried on the bracelet at Cartier as mentioned before. She even said she has Smaller wrists then her sister, [redacted]. At this point, [redacted] signed the sales receipt of no returns only 30-day exchange.On January 3, 2016, [redacted] texted me because the bracelet was too tight on her and she had found out that "the new screw system" makes the sizes larger. She wanted to return the bracelet. I reminded her that there were no returns and that is why I had said to make sure it fit. I would have assumed that when she went into Cartier she would have learned of this new system. offered to put the bracelet on consignment for her at my store. No resolution was met and I did not hear back from her until recently.
