Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 1/14/15.He did the [redacted] job in 2012, it was beautiful and they put every effort into the job. There is no guarantee with concrete work from cracking, spaulding, pitting, popping, and this was explained at the time of the estimate and it was...

noted in the contract.  They put a double coat of sealant on in 2012. Spaulding occurred the following year in the areas where the consumer used de-icer.  The consumer admitted to putting it down to help protect her granddaughter from falling on ice. The consumer was specifically advised not to use a de-icer. The heating elements in de-icer damage concrete. In 2014 they started receiving nasty calls from the consumer.  During one call his cell phone dropped the call, he called her right back, but she wouldn't answer the phone. The consumer called everyone that she could and spoke badly of him. He and the concrete supplier went out to look at the driveway. The consumer was screaming at everyone.  The supplier suggested power washing and resealing the drive.  Company had 2 crew members spend a day at the consumer's home power washing the driveway, then they returned the following day to apply 2 layers of sealant at no charge. He suggests that the consumer wait and see how it looks in spring of 2015. Consumer has already contacted the Chamber of Commerce, [redacted] Revdex.com, the City of [redacted] Building Department, and past customers about this issue and everyone is giving her the same opinion.  Her daughter and son-in-law understand and he has spoken to both of them directly.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The business in question has not come out to view the puddles after it rains but came the next day and the puddles had mostly evaporated by then. Also the puddles in question are there for many hours after a rain and do not drain off but evaporate. The driveway could have been pitched to the sides as there was plenty of yard between my property and the neighbors property. I contracted for a swirl finish and saw cutting would not make it look right. he says I'm making it sound worse than it is but as I said earlier he hasn't come out the same day it rains.

Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 1/26/15.   He has known this gentlemen all of his life. He has a low spot.  His garage was built too low to achieve fall to the street.  If it was built higher the job would have been easier to achieve.  He has 2 driveways....

The main driveway is fine, the driveway in question is his driveway to the second garage. The garage attached to the house is fine.  They told the consumer that it was too low and if it had been built higher they could have achieved the fall easier.  He does have a low spot, but the consumer is making it out to be worse than it is.  During heavy rain there is a lot of water there, but after the rain it drains off to a small puddle.  He suggested they saw cut some joints in that block to allow the water to run off to the side.  They offered to do this at no charge. He has been in business 34 years. The consumer asked him if they ever had to saw cut a block before because of water.  He explained, yes. Consumer asked him for addresses for consumer's he provided this service for, then after explaining that he doesn't have addresses, the next thing he got was a letter from Revdex.com. If the consumer had allowed him to provide the saw cut, it would alleviate the water problem allowing the water to drain to the side, but they can't do this without the consumer's authorization. The consumer is concerned about the appearance, but it will look fine.  The consumer wants him to replace a bunch of blocks, but all that needs to be done is the saw cut. They are still willing to do the saw cuts, they just need the consumer to authorize them to do so.
