Review: We bought a Jeep Jan '15 from an owner who kept it serviced & had replaced clutch/flywheel in 2014. We drove it & noticed a problem with the clutch. We contacted the previous owner who said the work had been done at Marguerite Auto. We took it in & also asked them to check the lights as well as the passenger window that was off track. The receptionist said they lost their past paperwork; this meant nothing would be under warranty as it couldn't be proved. Days passed with no contact. We made multiple calls & were given the run around by the receptionist. who had no idea what was going on with the car. They finally said the work was done & gave us a quote. We arrived to find only the clutch had been repaired. It had been sitting for weeks so we decided to take it home & deal with it later. Recently took it out & still had clutch problems. Took it back to the shop; if it weren't under warranty we would not have done this. Asked about the window & were quoted $140 to cover parts & labor which would be done the next day. Didn't hear back & called to find they didn't realize the jeep was 2 door & brought the wrong window. A few days later we were told a different part needed to be ordered to fix the window but that the owner had made an adjustment to fix the clutch. Days later she called & said we need to replace the clutch/flywheel - we told her this had been done, by them, in Jan. She said she needed to talk to [redacted]. Later she called back to say we now needed to fix a part on the transmission but couldn't explain anything. At this point we really didn't trust them and said not to do anything. Went to pick up & the invoice was doubled. They never asked/told us about addtl. charges. Owner became furious that I was disputing this & said he would tear out window & pick up later. Got a call saying it was parked in a temp spot & to get there before it was towed. At shop, asked for receipt & owner refused to come out of garage & wouldn't provide receipt. He then said he never made any adjustments.Desired Settlement: I do not trust this shop or its practices. The owner has been extremely rude and unwilling to discuss the actual condition of my vehicle. I have been given contradicting information about what needs to be done. I am requesting a refund of $665.12 for work that was either 1. Not done at all or 2. Not done properly as we are still experiencing the same issue.
