Patient was reminded through a series of statements that she should contact the billing department if she could not pay her account in full to set up monthly payment arrangements. Because the patient did not set up a payment plan, her account was placed in a collection agency.

I was indeed offered a payment plan. They wanted me to giver them ** dollars right then and there. I could not do that at the time and told them that so I did what I could do,I sent them [redacted] dollars. I was still making a payment but I could not agree to the ** dollars. Then the next month or a few weeks later I sent them ** dollars. I was not on a payment plan but,I was doing what I could. Not everyone can do the ** a month plan. I was not offered any other option. I think they need to be more flexible for people that do not have a lot of income.my e-mail [redacted]@centurylink.net

The patient has since paid this account with MSCB and it was paid within the first 30 days of placement. MSCB does not report accounts to any of the three credit reporting agencies if the account is paid within this time period, so there is nothing to remove from the credit report.
