Hello,This shipper was extremely difficult. She has recently lost her husband and was in no way capable of handling this move on her own. She was suppose to have family onsite with her due to her mental state and no one showed up. She cried the entire move. As our crews were packing she would...

proceed to stop them and ask for those items not to go and then later ask the crew why they hadn't packed those items. She would also ask our crews to pack items and then later ask the crews to unpack. After the crew had began loading the truck, she stopped them several times to unload the truck to unpack items she didn't want to go anymore and then let them reload only to do this several times over. This shipment should have taken 7 hours to complete max from start to finish but due to the shippers constant breakdown, requests for repacking and unloading of the truck, our crews exceeded the 12 hours onsite before I, the manager got involved. The claims the shipper is making has been working with our claims department for months. To my knowledge they are still working with her but aren't getting the responses necessary to complete the claim.This move was a nightmare. It was one that not only our coordinator, Sally, was treated extremely poorly after she went above and beyond to help coach and comfort the shipper through an extremely tough move but the contractor who moved her. The shipper not only treated the crew poorly but they ended up having to work for free as the quote went significantly over due to the shipper poor planning and emotional state. We have handled this shipper with Grace and have attempted to rectify everything she has requested and even went above to help this. She will not be happy due to the personal circumstance with losing her husband and a new move away from everything she knew.
