contracted with [redacted] for a real estate appraisal, paid her upfront for the service. The appraisal was never performed. On March 26, 2013 I contacted [redacted] to perform an appraisal on a parcel of property located at [redacted] which [redacted] had previously appraised for us in 2004. During our telephone conversation I informed [redacted] that there was an offer to purchase this property and I was calling her for a quick appraisal, [redacted] assured me that she could get one done for me in several weeks but I would need to pay her fee of [redacted] up front before she would start working on it, so I mailed out a check to [redacted] that same day, which she cashed on March 28th. Since then all my telephone calls to [redacted] have gone unanswered. I repeatedly left messages (April 8th, 24th, 25th & May 17th) with [redacted] staff for updates or a completion date all to no avail. Finally on May 8th I sent [redacted] an email inquiring on the progress of the appraisal, May 17th [redacted] assistant, [redacted] responded via email that the appraisal should be complete by May 22nd. On July 2nd I called [redacted] office again and spoke with [redacted] I asked "What was the status of my appraisal?" he said [redacted] would call me back. As of today [redacted] still have not attempted to call or email me.At this time I kindly ask that [redacted] immediately return to me the amount of [redacted] (made payable to [redacted] for services which [redacted] have clearly not rendered. Desired SettlementI am looking for a full refund of the [redacted] appraisal fee from [redacted].Business' Initial Response I received a request for a refund at the same time this complaint was made. Due to client confidentiality, I can not fully respond to the complaint but a full refund in the form of a cashiers check was made to the client as soon as he requested it.
