Not allowed to have two drinks at once during happy hour. Then charged for all drinks.During happy hour, my party and I went to have a few drinks. The waitress told us we were not allowed to have 2 drinks at one time. When the bill came, we had been charged for each drink separately. When we spoke to the manager, he stated we had to have them at the same time for them to be counted as happy hour drinks. We told him that was not what the waitress told us. He became very irate and refused to take the drinks off. Then they proceeded to add gratuity on our party of 7. I feel we were misled and then overcharged. We should not have had to pay double and have gratuity added.Desired SettlementI want the gratuity refunded to me. I did not agree to pay. I marked out the gratutity and put the total for the meal.Business Response I have never heard directly from Miss [redacted] and find her complaint perplexing. If she would like this resolved rather than to be posting complaints on this and other web sites, all she would have to do is contact me and give me the details of her visit. As long as I can confirm those details I would be happy to refund any gratuity that she paid. As far as the rest of the complaint, these are not our policies and all of our employees and management are fully knowledgable of those policies. Happy hour drinks are two for one, with mixed drinks generally served as doubles. Happy hour drinks do not have to be served together, and the POS computer automatically discounts them. I would absolutely contest any claim that my management became irate with any of our guests. I actually think that Miss [redacted] may have been a part of a group of ladies that were refused further service and asked to leave the restaurant because they would not refrain from cursing at my employees and manager. I may be mistaken but that was the only group that we have had an issue with in quite some time. I also do not understand why, if she wants any kind of a refund, she would post such a complaint rather than contacting me at the restaurant. I find it completely unlikely that this is a valid complaint and would need more information (such as date, time, ticket total, etc) to answer it any further. [redacted]. I was at[redacted]'s with my mother, mother-in-law, 2 sisters and 2 male friends. I have worked in the restaurant industry (including management) for over 15 years and know the proper channels when there is an issue. I tried to contact the manager twice at the restaurant but was told that he was not available. I felt my only option was to use the public forum to express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received. I do not understand why the manager has a problem with being reviewed online (or with the Revdex.com). Obviously if there has been issues with other customers there must be a problem somewhere. Also, I did not have any mixed drinks, nor did anyone in my party of 7. We were overcharged for all of our draft beers. Maybe there is a problem with the POS or the employee who was not properly trained to use it. I will not pursue the refund of my gratutity as the waitress should not be punished for her inexperience or lack of guidance from the manager. My complaint is valid and will encourage Mr. [redacted] to ensure that other customers will not have the negative experience that I and my family had. Final Business Response
