As a mechanic that has worked numerous years in the field, it was very much a by the book installationThe engine came with paperwork stating it is a running engine from the facility where it was purchased from along with my own visual inspectionThe was no written quote by Joe's Auto in any sort of capacity and I at no time signed any documents for work until the moment I picked my vehicle upWhen Joe's Auto called to notify my vehicle was done, I asked if it had been driven, as is to be done to verify any mechanical repairThe response was no, I told them they needed to drive it to verify repairsThey called back to tell me they drove it and it ranWhen I had the vehicle picked up I had specifically stated I wanted the engine installed and the vehicle in good running stateWhen I picked the vehicle up it wouldn't go over 20mph, it would not run properly, the exhaust wasn't tightened to the block, it was leaking from the hoses coming from the radiator, and over heated down the street from the shopMy insurance agency came out and totaled the vehicle outWhen I sent the vehicle to the shop all parts were either attached in the engine compartment for easier install or located in the back hatch of the jeepThis was a clear cut install that should't have any issues what so everNot only did they botch the entire job up, but now they are trying to lay the blame on a part which was verified in good condition and also still had a warranty on itIf the problem had actually been the engine and they had asked to any sort of diagnostics on it then I wouldn't of had an issueThey offered no diagnostics, no actual quote for parts and labor, and wanted to charge me far more time than the book saysWhen I went back in the day I picked my vehicle up and told them it barely ran and hardly drove the manager blew me off

My response: Joe’s Auto Repair technician Shaun only went for a test drive when he said that the whirling noise was the hubJeff charged me for a new hub before his technician Shaun bothered to put the vehicle on the lift and then they removed the hub on the driver’s side without examining anything on the vehicle as I watched them the entire timeNo-one at the shop looked at the hub on my vehicle until after they put a new hub on. Shaun showed me my hub and said there wasn’t a burr or a groove, but pretended it was hard to turnThe other technician started hammering and Shaun walked away. During the test drive I told Shaun my husband jacked up the front of the vehicle and spun the tires and it didn’t make any noise and it turned easilyMy husband checked the hub and there was nothing wrong with itJoe’s auto repair in Chandler had Matt and Brandon check out ‘everything’ including the hub and said the problem is with the tires separating. Jeff wanted my hub back and had it for some time before anyone would look at itJeff’s boss Taylor could have examined the hub right in front of me when I dropped it off, but didn’t. Jeff wanted an opportunity to work on it again and reluctantly I agreed and they broke and damaged multiple car parts and my personal item without any response or acknowledgement by Jeff or his boss Taylor-Manager who was guilty of some of the damage and a witness to the damage by Shaun. Jeff’s technician Shaun said to me the front tires were separatingI told Jeff that Shaun just told me it’s separating tires, just like your Chandler auto shopJeff refused to put it in the report and Jeff told Shaun right in front of me “It’s not separating tires but weakening struts and low air pressure.” This is criminalI could have had a serious accident because Jeff didn’t bother to look at my vehicle before deciding what the problem was

ID # *** 8/17/Lori KH*** showed up to Joe’s Auto requesting an ac check for $On her *** *** . On arrival Joe’s auto was told the ac didn’t blow cold when at idleWhen Joes auto checked the system there was only about a half pound of Freon Joe’s
Auto also noticed that the Schrader valves (service ports) were leakingWe explained that the ac system required an Evac and Recharge and Service Ports and that Joes Auto had to add the proper amount of freon the vehicle called for a total of $Pressures before service were sitting at on the Low side @70psi and on the high side @250psiAfter service the pressures were on the Low side @90psi and High side @250psiThe AC system wasn’t blowing cold air at allThe pressure were indicating that there was some kind of possible blockage in the Ac system and the customer was told that a Compressor Kit should be done to correct the problem properlyJoes auto was told by Lori’s Ex husband to put the vehicle the way we found it and that is what Joes auto didWe installed her original Schrader valves (which were leaking) and the Freon that the vehicle came in withLori paid the 12.95+ shop fees and left our facilityOn 8/18/Lori showed back up asking about the Freon that we put back inI explained that the original Schrader valves that were leaking caused the rest of the Freon to escape (this happens when you reuse old leaking parts) and Joes auto we are not responsible for that freon loss On 8/22/Lori returned to Joe’s auto for a refund that was in total of $and that she was satisfied with this Thank You Joe’s Auto

Joe's Auto has the failed hub bearing, the hub bearing has very high level of resistancesJoe's Auto has compared the the amount of resistance to the failed bearing to a new hub bearing to verifyAs stated in the previous response there can be multiple components on a vehicle failing at any giving timeJoe's Auto has the hub bearing to proveAs for the spare tire components We have asked Ms*** to bring the vehicle to her choce of our locations to look at the spare tire tool compartment issue to evaluate as she has declined, in addition to this she has been provided a email address to send pictures of damage as her request no responseWithout Ms.*** to do so it is very had to resolve this issue

Ms*** bought he vehicle in with a complaint of a noise in the front axleUpon inspection found front hub bearing assemble was faulty upon taking the tire and brake rotor off in return Ms*** agreed and approved repairMs ***'s issue with a different
component that was not able to be condemned faulty until hub bearing that was faulty was addressed for the other noise to be addressedThis is why Joe's Auto does not feel reimbursement is owedAs we all know there are many moving and working components on a vehicle and we can not suggest the replacement of non faulty parts until the most apparent part is repaired first

The customer came to us with the request of installing his salvaged engine into his JeepThe situation was not a standard engine replacement, as the customer had attempted to do the job himself, but left everything disassembled and not in any organized orderThe state of the vehicle and work to
be done could not be estimated from industry labor guides as a standard start-to-finish job, and the vehicle would have had to be inspected by each facility at the least, for those kind of quotesAll of our estimates are given up front, and the customer signed off before the work was started as you can see by the working order portion of the attached documentsJoe's Auto policy has always been No Warranty on customer supplied parts, as their condition and working order is unknown by us and can't be guaranteed in any wayThis is an industry standard practice by most reputable automotive facilitiesThere is no proof of the proper working condition of the donor engine other than hearsay from removal of its prior applicationLabor guide time to install an engine in the customer's vehicle is actually hoursPlease see the attached signed receipts to find only hours chargedThe labor guide assumes that a trained tech is completing the whole job, where notes of proper placement of components, fasteners and wiring harnesses could be madeThis was not the case, as this vehicle was brought in piecesThe vehicle was completed and tested, customer was informed prior to pickup that the supplied engine had issues and was producing abnoisesThe customer was offered diagnostics to find the root of the problemHe declined and opted to drive the vehicle with its known condition. Please see the attached invoice to find these notes documented and signed by the customerThe installation was completed correctly and the vehicle was able to leave the facility under its own powerThe issue is internal to the supplied engine, which is of no responsibility to Joe's Auto

My insurance agency came out and totaled the vehicle out. When I sent the vehicle to the shop all parts were either attached in the engine compartment for easier install or located in the back hatch of the jeep. This was a clear cut install that should't have any issues what so ever. Not only did they botch the entire job up, but now they are trying to lay the blame on a part which was verified in good condition and also still had a warranty on it.
