vehicle. The vehicle was repaired per the insurance estimate. On 11/11/16 the customer was called and told her vehicle was ready. She picked it up that afternoon, which happened to be a Friday. Since the insurance check was more than our figures to repair the vehicle, We Issued a reimbursement check to the customer for $56,71. We felt this rightfully belonged to the customer, not us. The owner of the company had inspected the paint job on the fender and commented to the employees what a good job they had done. The customer appeared very pleased when she left.Monday, 11/14/16, at approximately 3:30 PM, she came to the shop and wanted to speak to the manager. The receptionist explained that he had left early for an appointment. She requested that , someone look at the vehicle. Since part of the complaint was a paint issue, the painter came out to examine the vehicle. There was a rock chip on the fender that had been replaced. He explained that it appeared that a rock had hit the vehicle and chipped it since it left our shop. He got some paint that was left over from her job and offered to touch it up. She put her hand over the spot and said don't touch it, She also commented that the wheel cover was scratched. The receptionist explained to her again that the decision maker was not here and requested she return the next morning. The next morning just after the shop opened, she called spoke to the owner would not let him say a word. You could hear yelling through the phone. We did discover that the new wheel cover was not installed as it should have been. Our employee drove to her home and installed the wheel cover. We have had a third party intervene and has agreed that the spot on the fender is in fact new damage. We have once again offered to do touch up work on the fender at no charge to the customer and she has refused.Respectfully submitted[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Paragraph 1 correctParagraph 2 false If I seemed pleased, it was not because I had inspected the car. I try to be amiable with everyone and trust them to do their job. When I picked up the car I signed the check. Both people there remained seated and The Secretary said your car is down there and pointed and handed me my keys. I could not see the the damaged side since I would have had to stand in Taylor Blvd.I drove home, which is 2.8 miles 5 minutes and when I exited the car I noticed the damage.Paragraph 3 There is no way your employee could have known when the damage occurred or how.He also said the wheel cover was damaged by me which we know to be false. I did not let him daub paint on it with the q tip because this is NOT the industry standard for repairing even small scratches as I have confirmed. Especially since this was supposedly a brand new fender and scratched through to the metal. The secretary TOLD me to call the next day before I came the next day, which I did.Paragraph 4 false This is absurd. I heard every word you said. You said don't bring it up here , you probably did it yourself over the weekend Then I told you I saw it Friday evening and you said I was lying, If you heard someone yelling through the phone you must be sick. There's only one person here.Paragraph 5 false I not you had a third party intervene.Your offer as I said before contains none of the procedures or steps for fixing small metal scratches such as cleaning, primer, clear coat or rubbing compound. You have only offered what A child could do with a marker, not a professional establishment.Regards,
[redacted]
