Marina Motors

We bought a Kia SUV about 3 years ago from this company. Prior to receiving the vehicle, we were told there was still some work that needed to be done to the vehicle before we could receive it and had to wait an extra week for the SUV. We thought with this extra time, Park Marina would do their due diligence and make sure the entire vehicle (including any recalls) were corrected. The first day we drove the SUV, both headlights went out. Instead of assuming the worse, we figured maybe they were checking out all the important, viable parts of the SUV were being fixed during that extra week they had the SUV. We replaced both headlights and went on with our life. When we got our first oil change at a Kia dealership, we were told there were 2 recalls (1 of them being part of a major lawsuit), that should have been fixed about a month before we bought the SUV. We set up appointment to get the recalls fixed and on our way home, our engine suddenly died and threw a rod due to the recalls. We were told it was going to cost between $8,000 and $11,000 to fix everything and get the SUV on the road. When I reached out to Park Marina Motors, Don avoided our calls for 2 weeks with excuses from other employee's saying how he was either busy or on vacation. We decided that since Don was ghosting us to cover his mistakes, we would just talk to any employee there. I don't remember the guys name, but he was threatening and abusive saying it was our problem and not theirs. After reporting them to the BBB and writing a scathing accurate review on Yelp, one of the managers finally reached out to us. She was rude, abusive, and said she didn't "feel" it was their problem even tho they sold us a lemon that was completely unfunctional within a year of purchasing the SUV. She said because we wrote a bad review (which was accurate and we have every right to do so), they weren't going to help us. Once lawyers got involved, they finally agreed to "help out" in getting the SUV fixed. This was a total lie and we had to pay everything out of pocket. They did not help or fix the SUV and I feel this company and business practices needs to be reviewed and penalized based on state and lemon law rules. If anyone reads this review before purchasing a vehicle from Park Marina Motors... Please, I beg of you please... use another business.
