The customer is completely correct that we have been unable to supply the Caterpillar engine as contracted.We have had trouble finding a useable core engine and the substitute engine that we did find (while in good shape) required extensive re-working and many of the parts required were difficult to procure in a timely fashion.I will be in touch with Mr*** [redacted] on December 30th and will discuss his options or determine which method Mr [redacted] would like us to reimburse himWe are very sorry that this has happened and realize that it has been a frustrating series of events for both of us[redacted] President

Hello,Unfortunately that Exhaust Pipe was on back-order with the manufacturerIt was shown at the time to be available in the US but that turned out not to be the caseWe were told by the manufacturer that we could place a hour emergency order from overseas to deliver it to youHowever, it
also turned out that the exhaust pipe was on back order overseasWe kept the exhaust pipe on order in hopes that they would send you one but ultimately they did not.We deeply apologize for this situation and the problems we have caused youEven though parts do go on back-order from time to time, it's very rare that a particular part would be back-ordered from overseas as wellWe are making steps to improve our communication with our customers about back-order status in the future.We cancelled the exhaust pipe once we received your chargeback noticeDue to the recommendation of our bank, we did not issue a refund and allowed the chargeback to proceedYou should have your money back now.Again, we are sorry that you had such a poor experience with us and hope that you may reconsider us in the future and we will make sure you receive better customer service.Thank you,*** ***Marine Parts Express
