I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I called them to clean the furnace - plain and simple.....they did not do what they were called out to do The service I requested was simply not performed Furthermore, what was said were lies MRFava told me I needed a new furance and it was dangerous and of course he knew exactly what the price was They also told me a furnace like I have doesn't exist anymore I have had two REPUTABLE companies come out to my house (after scaring me) and they told me I did not need a new furnace, I am not in danger and that there ARE models just like I have Also, MRMario gave me a quote on an 80% furance of 3100$when i've requested and received estimates for 1600$ for an 80% the one company said "all that it needs is a cleaning...why didn't Mario Fava do that...." because he wanted to make a quick $bucks for nothing and then sell me an over priced furnace....I am surprised there hasn't been other complaintsAt best this is very very poor customer experience
I should have never handed him a check...and no receipt...nothing...a refund will resolve this....social media is a very powerful tool that I am well aware of how to use it.

On Saturday November 1, my son and I went to the customer's home
The first thing she told me was that she had *** come and clean her furnace last year, and that she wasn't satisfied with them
Following our standard procedures we evaluated the furnace
It is years old I took out one of the burners and inserted a camera to check the heat exchanger, and found out that it had cracks in it.
I told her that the best thing to do was to change the furnace if it was affordable to herAlso I told her that the furnace is not in good condition and not to clean it
My service calls are normally $ She was upset about the price, so I knocked $off

We had Mario Fava Heating & Cooling come and do a "tune up" of the heating/humidifier system before winter starts.

First, they showed up earlier than our scheduled time and said that they "missed" me.

Then they showed up again several hours later without calling.

For the check up they charged $85 which is normal, and they charged $65 for taking off a switch from the humidifier.

The man was old, could not hear well, and seemed to have had [redacted] issues ([redacted]), and even though he was more or less friendly, it was quite an unpleasant encounter.

Review: Mario and his son came out to my place for what I thought was a cleaning and before they even opened the furnace, the father (Mario) indicated it needed to be replaced. Granted the gas furnace is 20 years old but I had it cleaned last year 10/2013 by [redacted] who indicated it was in nice shape....Mario and son did not do a cleaning, just told me they should put a new furnace in and asked for $75 for a service call - nothing was done...they just said my furnace was not safe...no receipt provided. It seems that this visit was to scare me into getting a new furnace. I contacted a handyman friend of mind who had a retired hvac guy come out that same day within the hour to inspect my furnace. He did not indicate I needed to get a new one and that it was safe....regardless I am getting quotes as the furnace is 20 years old...but these scare tactics are unacceptable. I will not be using Mario and sons in the future due to this...and to pay $75 for nothing....not a good experience.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $75
