This is the second driveway that we have hired Marion Excavating to install. For both the first and second driveway we have been very pleased with their quality and customer service.

Our most recent experience was with our driveway installation in May 2016. We requested a couple estimates from local companies and the estimates received were in the same price range. However, the decision making came down to the very positive experience with their company, which started from day one.

From the day of estimating Marion Excavating, more specifically Kevin [redacted], provided easy to understand answers to our various questions. He was great to communicate with and made honest recommendations. To name a few suggestions, at my inquiry, it was recommended to remove older delapidated trees and suggested to remove our dated foundation pad abutting the garage door. Not only were these types of best course of actions proposed but they were suggested in a honest manner without any added pressure and with the goal of extending the longevity of the driveway. Within a week we received an email estimate whereas most other companies provided us verbal numbers or an estimate on the back of a card. We were provided with two estimate options from Marion Excavatingone more economical than the other. After agreeing to the quote, we also added some very minor excavation work in back of our shed which was agreed to without any hesitation.

On the day of paving, we went over all the plans in person and discussed any needed modifications. To my suprise, they even marked off some of the dimensionsso we could visualize the layout. Everything we asked for (however tedious of a request) was honestly answered and properly executed.

In my opinion Marion Excavating provided us with the best quality workmanship. We received compliments on their work at our previous home and anticipate some for our new driveway. To be fair they are a very sought after company and are very busy. I had to wait a bit before being scheduled but this delay was communicated up frontas the company had been scheduled out a month ahead. Either way it was worth the wait!
