Regards,
*** ***I maintain my standing that I am owed a full refund of my refundable $2,I put down towards a used horse trailer at KY Lake Trailer sales on 3/9/and 3/10/17.Mr***'s ethical business practices are absolutely in question in this matter! He fails to provide neither full, accurate or clear information in writing to consumers regarding deposit monies. He also fails to provide full, timely, or accurate disclosure in writing or on his website to consumersI was given a copy of my seperate deposit payments days after the factHad I been given a copy of my first $deposit, in a timely manner, AND with the words: deposits are non-refundable" on it, I never would have sent another $1,the very next day!Mr ***'s marketplace conduct is in violation of the law in this consumer transactionWhen I asked his office employee, ***, if she would send me a copy the company policy stating that deposits were mom-refundable, she stated,"I have never seen anything like that in writing, and I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for something like that"Obviously, it doesn't exist...I have taken the time to screenshot their entire website, showing that there is nothing, anywhere on it, that states anything about deposits being non-refundable also.Mr***'s inappropriate misuse of the fact that he has my money and refuses a complete and timely refund is a blatant show of marketplace misconduct, and non-transparent disclosure of his business practices to consumers.I expect a 100% full refund of my $2,cash depositHe has my address. He may mail me a check

I am rejecting this response because: the owner of precision automotive *** ***, stated that the vehicle that he sold me was an excellent working conditionHe has history with the previous owner of the vehicle, he/his shop maintained the vehicle, and he/his shop has plenty of service records related to its history

Again, Kentucky Lake Trailer Sales is making false claims. The sale price was never agreed to on the phone. This is why we entered negotiation after looking at the trailer. The salesman drew up paperwork prior to us visiting there to reserve the trailer and so we wouldn't make a 6 hour drive in vain. He said that the paperwork could be changed and/or deleted depending on our decision upon arrival.  They are still trying to hold to the fact that they discounted the trailer due to the floor, which they and I both know is a false claim. The $1500 was deducted during the negotiation, not because of the floor. Kentucky Lake's representatives, including the salesman and the owner, has been dishonest in almost every regard since the beginning of this complaint. They have been unreasonable and extremely difficult to work with. They claimed on the phone that the reason they are fighting this is due to a low profit margin because of how much they paid for the trailer and what they sold it to me for. Not my problem. As previously stated, I will not be satisfied until KLTS offers a solution to this complaint.

Regarding I.D. 12113136:The car was sold for a gentleman named [redacted] by me [redacted] acting as an agent for the sale of the 1998 Honda Civic LX, NOT as a Precision Automotive business related or a [redacted] transaction. This was a personal transaction request by Mr. [redacted] to help him.[redacted]...

We had the trailer that Mr. [redacted] purchased advertised at $18,500. Mr. [redacted] came to our dealership and looked at the trailer in person. Upon inspection, he discovered the trailer had a soft floor. He made an offer of $17,000 to take the trailer and fix the floor himself. We took his offer...

and sold it to him at his price with both parties knowing the floor needing repair. Three months after the purchase of the trailer, he decides it is more work than he wants to do and wants us to reimburse him.  While we appreciate Mr. [redacted]'s business and understand his concern, we feel that taking a substantial discount of $1500 (which is 1/2 of what he says the repairs are) on the day of purchase to compensate for the stated problem is adequate compensation for the customer.

Response: [redacted] & [redacted] submitted an online credit application to purchase a 2015 Lakota trailer for $44,995.00. They were approved by the bank for the purchase and wanted to proceed with the purchase. It is our policy to charge a non-refundable deposit to hold the trailer until the...

customer is able to make the purchase. We took the trailer off the market for sale, and turned down other inquiries during this time. The customer contacted us and changed their minds on purchasing the unit do to personal circumstances. A deposit is in good faith for both the seller and the purchaser. It ensures we will hold the trailer for the customer to purchase, but it also ensures the customer is committing to purchase the trailer where we do not loose the sale with other potential buyers. We emailed Mrs. [redacted] a signed letter that if they decide to purchase a trailer within one year, we will apply at least 1/2 of her deposit previously paid toward the purchase price of another trailer. We feel this is a fair solution from our standpoint. Sent on: 3/29/2017 12:44:29 PM

The claims presented by KLTS are only half truth. The dollar amount was reduced during price negotiations and not because the condition of the floor. While there was a small soft spot when the trailer was purchased, it was not disclosed that the entire floor had an issue. They may claim ignorance, but after my experience with their (lack of) customer service, it leads me to believe otherwise. I began calling KLTS with complaints when the severity of the problem was discovered, not "when I decided I didn't want to mess with it." I was sold an item that they led me to believe was fully operational and it simply was not. KLTS needs to make this right. I will not be satisfied until they offer a solution.

Ky Lake Trailer Sales, Inc. understands the customer is not satisfied with his purchase; however, we feel that there are irreconcilable differences between our dealership and Mr. [redacted]. The price was agreed on at $18,500 on the telephone before the customer ever physically looked at the trailer. The customer applied for a loan for this trailer, and the loan documents were prepared for the purchase price of $18,500. Upon arrival and inspection of the trailer, the customer and our salesperson discovered the soft floor and agreed on the discount of $1500, which was satisfactory to the customer. The loan amount was still set at $18,500 because the bank documents were prepared in advance, but we took $1500 off the amount of down payment that the customer was required to pay. We apologize to the customer that he is dissatisfied, but we feel we adequately compensated the customer for the problem at the time of purchase. Ky Lake Trailer Sales, Inc. has been in business for over 15 years and does not have a history of complaints. It is not our standard practice to make customers unhappy; however, we understand the fact there are sometimes differences that will not be resolved.
