Mr***, First I would like to explain why we have chosen to use a tow truck company. As you mentioned we are a gated community and also have ample parking but even with all of that we want to make sure that residents like yourself always
get the better spots. This is your community and your home and you deserve to be able to park as close to your home as possible. It is also to prevent visitors from parking in paid spots (such as carports). This was something that several residents have asked us to do for a long time and after researching it, we decided to put in place I want to apologize for you feeling like the office did not care, after speaking to them, that is not at all how they meant to come across. Any issue a resident has is our responsibility to help them. We may not be able to always give the answer they want, but we definitely try very hard to do our best to come to an understanding As far as you not being notified these are the dates of events from when you moved in, there were prior notices to residents but since you were not a resident at that time, I understand how those do not effect you 1/10/15- you moved into the community and upon move in Linda explained the new procedure for permit parking and the dates it was going to take place 1/19/15- A calendar update went out to every door reminding everyone about the the new procedure and also to let everyone know that the office would be in community center handing our permits on 1/21/and that if that was not a good then they could come by the office at anytime to pick one up 1/23/15- another day was scheduled for residents to come down and get permits and ask questions 1/26/15- another resident letter went out to all residents reminding everyone again about the policy 1/30/15- the monthly newsletter went out and another reminder was put on this as well After your car being towed the office staff offered to show you each one of these notices and you did not want to see them. You mentioned that we are attempting to rip-off the elderly, that is absolutely not true We do not receive one penny of the money the tow company charges, I apologize if you felt like we were trying to make a profit off of this service, but we do not get anything from it. It is our goal for no one to get towed and that is why we have and continue to send out numerous reminders about this policy Due to the number of notices that have went out and the fact that we do not in fact receive any money from the tow company, we will not be able to reimburse any out of pocket expenses I am very glad you chose Mariposa Ella Bvldto be your home and I hope you will continue to do so.
