The rack & pinion installed on Dodge Caravan *** has a limited life time warranty The boots that were replaced were warranted on 8/29/ Here are two receipts provided by the company we purchased the part from and the receipt for the warranty exchange *** has been add to stall # since original purchase They found out about the boot in *** Her Uncle inspected the van, he should of see the frame at that time if it was there.Sally's Station

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The information submitted is mostly trueHowever, the mechanic who discovered the severe safety hazard on my vehicle testifies it had been that way for more than monthsHe estimated at least a year, possibly two years or moreSally's Service Station had been working on my vehicle for at least yearsWith this knowledge, the mechanics at Sally's Service Station would have noticed this or should have noticed itI also add that my vehicle was last serviced in June of at Sally's Service Station, and I took my vehicle to another mechanic months later, in NovemberIt was months since the vehicle was last serviced at Sally's Service Station before the Rear Axle was discovered, not as claimedOut of moral courtesy, it was Sally's Service Stations's diligence to advise me that the money I was putting into my vehicle ($1,002) was a complete waste and that my vehicle would be completely inoperable in less than a years time! My vehicle was serviced at least times that year, prior to taking it to another mechanicI took my vehicle to another mechanic to get my struts replaced in November; after it was discovered that my boot was still the wrong size, though I had been advised otherwiseFor this reason I no longer trusted the integrity of Sally's Service StationThe mechanic who was replacing my driver's side struts, immediately called me with the news about my rear axleHe did not even try to replace the part that I initially contacted him forHe advised me my vehicle was a safety hazard and should not even be on the road! The mechanics at Sally's Service Station are negligentHad I not taken my vehicle to another mechanic, my entire family could be dead right now! I do not accept this resolutionNothing has been resolvedMy vehicle is still inoperable and I am still without all the money I paid Sally's Service Station for pointless repairs when they knew or should have known the true state my vehicle was in.
Regards,
*** ***

Customer had family member bring me pictures of the torn boot's on the rack & pinion I told them to bring it back and I would repair the vehicle at no cost They said the vehicle was in *** and they would bring it in as soon as they came back Vehicle was not brought back
to me until 6/7/for the repair The boot's were replaced with new ones provided by our commercial parts distributor from AkronThey removed the boot's directly from a new rack & pinion because they couldn't find any universal one's Boot's were a direct fit Customer took the van after repair Have not seen the vehicle since 6/10/ I have no way of predicting what may or may not brack or not on any vehicle In the month's they drove the van afterwords I can not predict what condition the vehicle is in without me seeing the vehicle We also have no record of a torn cv axle or axle repair CV boot's tear while driving We never did any repairs to the back of the vehicle and last inspection was done back in June of This claim is and has no merit to it (see signed statement from customers father in law)
