On December 29, I came home to find water pouring through my kitchen ceiling destroying everything - I felt helpless My refrigerator, stove, tile, backsplash, and cabinets were soaked with the worst part being that all of our families photos were waterloggedyears of our family's history was floating around in cardboard boxesMy wife and I were nervous, scared and unaware of our options Initially, we contacted our insurance company and they, after an initial inspection, we're only going to cover about 50% of the damage because they claimed that a lot of the damage was "wear and tear" We were floored! So I began to speak with friends and who eventually put us in contact with RestoreThey came out with the insurance company and proved that the damages were from the flood and not "wear and tear" and the insurance company eventually sided with usThank God because we are now in the process of renovating the damaged areas We pride ourselves on being DIY'ers but we are glad that we chose to call in the pros for this one! Chris * from Restore came out 4-separate times to make sure we had all of our questions answered From start to finish, we highly recommend Restore

Great company to work with! After experiencing a flood in my dental office, Restore Construction was quick to respond with drying machines and removing all of the wet debris Due to their great service, we were up and running within a week Even helped with rugs, paint, etc....Very professional

I highly recommend restore restoration I manage a unit building, and one of the hot water heaters started leakingWater was everywhereMike and his team responded immediately on Saturday, handled the issue and dried the area quicklyVery happy with the response and quality of work was too notch

The basis of the complaint is that Restore Construction Incdid not perform a substantial portion of the scope of work agreed upon between the parties
" margin: 0px background-"> We believe that the complaint made against our Company does not have any merit. In support of our position we would like to call attention to the following facts:
- The *** ** *** passed the following rough inspections:
o Electrical
o Plumbing
o Ventilation
- The *** ** *** inspected and passed the following final inspections:
o Electrical
o Plumbing
o Ventilation
o New Construction/Final General inspection
- The homeowner’s mortgage company, which in accordance with the homeowner’s mortgage documents, acts as an escrowee for the funds and performs its own independent inspection verifies that the work is completed prior to releasing their funds performed an inspection at 50% completion, which passed and the bank released an additional draw, as well as a final inspection at the completion of the job. This final inspection also passed and the bank released the final draw from the escrow. Note that the mortgage company uses the insurance company’s scope of work as a basis to verify that the work was completed in order to release the funds- Under the terms of the insurance policy, the final holdback of funds will not be released unless the repairs are complete and the value restored back to the pre-loss value. The insurance company performed a final inspection and released all remaining funds because they assessed the work to be completed satisfactorily

Restore Construction Inc(“Restore”) signed a contract, with the subcontractor, Olde Towne Floors, Inc(“Olde Towne”), in the amount of $4,for a specific scope of work. That specific scope of work was performed, and
Restore paid the amount in full to Olde Towne in accordance with the contract The contract that was signed specifically states that any and all change orders must be presented and signed by an authorized representative of Restore. The change order that Olde Towne presented to Restore was a simple, non-itemized document that totaled $4,100, almost double the original contract amount. Additionally, the change order, which appears to be only a proposal as opposed to a formal change order request, was signed by an individual, who was working in the capacity of a contractor, and did not have authority to sign any such document. As such, we do not feel Restore owes the amount nor can we verify the work was actually completed. Even if the change order was to be accepted after the fact, which Restore does not accept, the original contract signed clearly states in clause 15, “Contractor shall be obligated to pay Subcontractor final payment for the work and materials supplied upon architect and owner approving the work in writing and when the owner has paid the Contractor for such work.” As of the date of this response, the owner has not paid the Contractor for such work and in fact has made a claim of defective work for several areas of construction including the floors. For the reasons stated above, Restore does not feel the complaint has merit, however, in an attempt to resolve this issue amicably, Restore has reached out to Olde Towne to discuss a reasonable resolution

We did not enter into a contract with Restore because they made certain representations verballyThese were things that were quite important to usThere was no mention of them in the written contractThe written contract indicated that it was complete and that the verbal representations would have no effectAdditionally, the written contract was unspecific as to when they would perform the services and requested that we sign over all of the insurance proceeds to them before the work even startedWe thought this seemed unprofessional and chose to hire someone else

I do not accept because I have been getting the run around and still do definite day as to when it would be completed. Also the inside ceiling has not been mentioned in this or when it will be addressed. I just do not want to say yes and then it goes back to being ignored. I also contacted them in regards to the flickering of the bathroom light still happening and was told they would get back in touch with electrician and still I AM WAITING for them to contact me on when he would com back and check it out. So I waiting as long as I could before responding to this response allowing them time. I also told them tenant says its been dry as well so I would like to know what's the holdup and when will they honor their end of the warranty. I am aware as well as they are aware my warranty is at the ending stage this month as well. Thank you in advance for all that you can and will do in helps with my plight.

We have completed the original items that the homeowner stated previously. The items that she is referring to from what I understand are new items that were brought up to our crew when they were out there repairing the roof, ceiling.... We will need to contact the homeowner to review the additional items she is requesting to have done. we will contact her later next week.

Restore Construction, Inc. is a step above the rest. After an untimely fire on New Year’s Eve 2015, Restore, from the beginning, was there to comfort us during the night of the fire and walk us through the rebuilding of our home, which included dealing with the insurance company and then the construction process. When I was running around frantic during the night of the fire, Restore thankfully took charge of our case. That night, Restore even made hotel accommodations for us so that we had somewhere to stay. After the fire was extinguished, Restore’s board up personnel secured our home and made sure everything was safe. Restore even came out the next morning, on New Year’s Day, to begin the pack out of our belongings. As the construction work began on our house, Restore’s construction team assisted us in every way possible from choosing materials to offering suggestions on how to make our house look more contemporary. Most importantly, anytime we spoke with one of Restore’s other staff members, they were always patient with us and available to answer our questions, which helped to alleviate a lot of our stress during this nerve-racking time. I would definitely recommend Restore to anyone who needs any type of home fire restoration services.

Additional work needs to be done on home under warranty that was discussed with the company's representative and not completed. All windows need to be caulked still and grout in shower wasn't repaired. All was discussed with company's representative on 11/26/2014 in home with photos taken by company representative.

On December 5th our company was out at the property with Ms. [redacted] to complete her warranty concerns. We of course will continue to honor her 5 year warranty for the work that we performed which is depicted in the original Fire Repair Specifications that was signed on March 28, 2013.
Thank you.

The worst rehab ever was done by Restore Construction Corporation. My 85 year old aunt had a fire in her home of 61 years on June 22, 2013 that required a rehab. Her State Farm agent recommended Restore Construction Corporation for the storage of her furniture and clothing that had not been destroyed in the fire and to rehab the house. He told her "they will do you right". She was told Restore Construction was on Angie's List. My Aunt thought she was working with a credible construction company that was vetted by [redacted] and recommended by a trusted [redacted] agent. Prior to the fire there were no building code violations. After the rehab we had the city inspector come and now there are many building code violations because of the rehab done by Restore Construction Corporation.
My 85 year old aunt's home is being destroyed by water because of the work Restore Construction did at her home. When it rains water runs over the parapet wall damaged by Restore workers but not repaired. Water comes under the door on the 2nd floor warping the floor and causing the door to rust. Water comes under the basement back door because the outdoor sump pump was cemented over by the workers. Water pipes were reconfigured to accommodate a different type of heating system without my Aunts' ok. Her basement floor had to be reopened because you could hear the sound of water running under the concrete basement floor. They had to break up the concrete floor to repair the pipe and they almost flooded the basement in the process because they were not able to cut the water off. The basement constantly floods with nowhere to drain because the floor slants toward, the wall instead of the poorly working sump pump that was placed on a higher elevation in the basement. This happened because when they excavated the floor in search of the water pipes in the front of the house the floor now is lower in that area. 9/30/2015, a new crack as discovered on the wall of the second floor bedrooms and the skylight that Restore decided to cover up is now leaking. I still have not mentioned all of the despicable things this despicable Restore Corporation did to my 85 year old aunt because they are too many to list.

We were very pleased with our experience working with Restore Construction. We had just moved into our home and our basement flooded. Restore was at our home within a few hours of calling them to fully clean up the and repair the water damage. I would highly recommend using them for their timeliness and quality of work.

I had a fire in my home located at [redacted] in Skokie back on February 17th of this year. I hired Restore in April to help me with my claim and the re-construction of my home. Bobby and Patrick have done a great job helping me and my family in dealing with my insurance company. They made sure that we got the right amount of funds to do the proper job. The house looks beautiful and we will be moving back home before Christmas. This was the best Christmas gift ever and they have taken a terrible situation and turned it to a wonderful positive. I would definitely recommend them in the future.
