Mark 1 Moving & Storage Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
I'm sorry that you felt we were inappropriate in trying to find a resolution for what happened to our TVI also apologize for my husband becoming emotional in the situation, but he was upset with reasonOur main issue here is that there is no accountability for what has happened to our TVWe don't have it, you don't have it, so obviously someone knows SOMETHING and is keeping it to themselves. It is also untrue that the company asked the men about the TV and they had no recollection of seeing the TVOn two separate occasions (once to my husband by the owner, and another to myself from ***) we were told that the men were familiar with the TV and that they actually remembered putting it in a mirror box because the TV box would've been too big and costly for them(They told us this information in the hopes that we were overlooking the TV at home, which is not true.) I think it's questionable that they would tell us this information and then claim later that no one had any recollection of the TV at all. My mother was at the home when the men moved the items out of the home, and she told them to leave ONE TV behind- a small inch TV that we were able to move really easilyWe had previously moved our big screen from the living room on our own We understand a TV wouldn't cost $250, but we estimated that amount based on current costsWe would much rather have our TV than have to purchase one, but obviously that's not going to happen.I honestly feel there is no true resolution to this situationIt's very sad that there are no winners in this case, but that's just the nature of the situation At this point, we are just wanting to finish dealing with this company, but want them to be held accountable for what has happened, instead of waving their hands in the air and not taking any responsibility
Regards,
*** ***

I apologize that [redacted] has a misplaced TV. We have no documentation of having this TV. We have asked everyone on that crew at separate times did they see or move a TV, they all stated the same thing and that was that there were two TVs that were sitting to the side and they were...

told that they (the Customer) would be moving them themselves to their temporary housing. The crew that moved [redacted] have been with this company for over 20 years we have never had a complaint or even a suspicion of theft. I explained to [redacted] that they signed off on the .60 cents per pounds and that she was releasing the items to us for that amount. I told her that we would be willing to give her a check for $100.00 for the 2013 32 inch TV. Her husband called screaming and cussing myself out stated that it would cost $260.00 to replace a 2013 32 inch TV. I explained to him that we had checked at [redacted] and it could be replaced for $160.00 and that we were giving him a check for $100.00 even though we have no record of ever storing the TV and that was the only thing missing, he continued to scream and curse me out and explained to me that he would slander the company to everyone he knows, that he had friends at the Revdex.com and [redacted] news as well. The [redacted] feel that we don’t care, and that is simply not the case. The issues is that with every employee that was involved with the [redacted] move saying they never moved the TV from the home they moved out of, we have to trust them. Especially when it’s a crew that has worked together and for us for so many years, and have never had an item come up missing. Our employees are all background checked and are only hired if the background check comes back clean. The Revdex.com should also be aware that in our years of business we have not had any moving complaints resulting from claims, theft or billing issues.  We never stated that we had the TV, but that we would look in the warehouse and check with the guys. We also tried to explain the best that we could that if we turned this over to the insurance company the amount paid out would be based on $0.60 per pound. We still feel that based on the fact that the TV is two years old, and the fact that all the employee’s say they never moved it we feel strongly that the $100.00 was a very fair offer. Even if they had purchased FRVP, with the guys claiming they never moved it I doubt the insurance company would have paid out any more than that, especially after you figure in the depreciation of the TV.It’s a frustrating situation and we are offended with the fact they are accusing us of breaking and then disposing of it, having it stolen or lying about it. We move very high value items all the time, both locally and all over the country and never have anything lost.     Thank you![redacted],
