Mark A. Pigno, DDS, FACP Reviews (2)

Revdex.com: As per phone conversation
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10644443, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI would like for the business to mail my refund to the address on the complaint
Sincerely,
*** ***

To begin, we will gladly provide a refund for Mrs [redacted].  All she had to do was ask.  She never made any request to our office for a refund, and she, in fact, had scheduled an appointment to replace the implant in question on June 2, 2015, when the complaint was made to the Revdex.com....

There was no need to file a complaint for this desired outcome, and it is unfortunate that she felt the need to do so.Regarding the background related to her complaint, Mrs [redacted] had 2 dental implants placed on October 28, 2013.  The fees to place the implants were discounted 30% as a courtesy because she was the mother of an office employee.  Unfortunately, one of the implants failed shortly following placement.  It was determined and acknowledged that the failure was largely caused by her failure to follow post-operatative instructions.  The cost of quality dental implant placement for a dental office is great in materials, supplies, time, and labor.  All that was asked was that Mrs [redacted] pay the difference between the discounted fee and the standard undiscounted fee to replace the implant.  As her daughter was no longer employed with our office, the employee discount did not apply to a dental implant that had to be replaced due to additional cost to our office in materials, supplies, time, and labor.  There was never an agreement to replace the implant at no additional cost, and I am not sure how she got that impression.  It is true that an implant was replaced for another client at no additional cost, but that client paid the standard undiscounted fee.We regret that Mrs [redacted] has taken this matter personally and hope that this settles the matter.  It is questionable whether this qualifies as a legitimate complaint, as Mrs [redacted] never requested a refund from us prior to this complaint, and it is requested that the complaint be dropped as a result.  Mrs [redacted] has decided she would rather not comply with the reasonable request that she pay the difference between the discounted fee and the standard undiscounted fee for implant placement, and instead requests a refund for the failed implant.  This request will be granted.  We did our best to provide quality dental care for Mrs [redacted] while her daughter was employed with us and are saddened by their actions in this matter.Sincerely Office Manager, Office of [redacted] A [redacted]
