Dear Ms***:You below email is the very first I have heard about this matter whatsoeverI never received a phone call or email from *** ***. Nor have I never received any phone call or email (until now) from anyone at the Revdex.com regarding this matter.One of my associate attorneys
handled this case, so my knowledge of some specifics is limitedThis file has been closed and is in our basementOn Monday, I will pull the file from the basement and speak with the attorney and paralegal who worked on the case.However, in looking at our electronic file, I can already determine the following:On or about 6/29/2017, Ms*** found our firm listing on the internet and contacted us to represent her in the filing of a Chapter Bankruptcy. She had several debts, and one in particular who had sued her, obtained a judgment and was about to garnish her wages. Ms***’ intention was to file a Chapter to stop this garnishment and repay all of her debts according to a reorganization Plan.The Fee Agreement which Ms*** signed called for a total of $3,in attorney fees, plus $for court costs and other case expenses. We agreed to file her Chapter for $1,in fees, and get the remaining $2,through the Plan. Ms*** did pay us $1,and we began working on her case.Over the next approxmonths, more than nine (9) hours of legal work was performed by our attorney, paralegal and other staff. The bankruptcy petition was preparedNumerous documents were obtained, including tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, etc. Ultimately, after all this work was done, and four (4) months after she hired us, Ms*** decided not to file bankruptcy. The Fee Agreement which Ms*** signed provides that in this event, Godbey Law will refund the court costs - and we have already done soHowever, the Fee Agreement also provides that we are entitled to keep that portion of her payment for attorney fees which compensates us for work performed at the rate of $250/hour for attorneys and $95/hour for staff. In fact, if we were to charge Ms*** for our work on an hourly basis, she would actually owe us approx$700. Attached is a copy of all Time Entries for work performed on Ms***’ case. MS*** WAS ALREADY PROVDED A COPY OF THIS ITEMIZATION OF WORK PERFORMED. See the attached 3/6/letter from my office manager, Debbie L***We have NEVER refused to provide Ms*** or any other client with a record of our work.I am happy to discuss this matter further with the Revdex.com and/or Ms***Please provide me with written evidence of the outcome of this matter.Mark EGodbeyGODBEY LAW

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWhile I am happy to finally have a breakdown of what I was charged forI am unhappy to report that many of Mr Godbey's statements are incorrectFor one, I have emails from him and his associates regarding my request for this itemized statement, unless possibly he doesn't answer his own e-mailsTwo, I decided firmly not to file bankruptcy on August Why would I try to do settlements if I was still contemplating filing? There should be no further charges after that dateI did not receive an itemized statement prior to thisIt was never mailedI received a generalized letter stating that the only thing owed to me was court costs, no breakdown of the hours I was actually charged forAlso, I don't even have a debt with ***, so I'm not sure how I can be charged for time spent negotiating a settlement with themRegardless, I'll let it goI just wanted this itemized statement, but I hope that Mr Godbey doesn't think I'll be paying the $showing due on this invoice based off of the inconsistencies in his statements, plus charges for debts I don't even have.
