Our moving experience with Diggins & Rose was extremely disappointing and frustrating We moved from Manchester NH to Deerfield NH, considered a local move, into a newly built home on August 27, 2016, only to have walls dinged and gouged, trim chipped, scratches to the hardwood floors, and damaged furniture It began when a 3-man crew realized they were short handed and called for additional resources Four additional movers arrived, and proceeded to run our belonging into the house Bringing the total to 7-movers of which were very conscientious independent contractors, and by far better then the full time employees of this company They rushed in and out, grabbing and dropping, banging and ramming The foreman on the job passively attempted to get things under control but failed The final tally, they broke a stand mirror frame, broke the leg off the dinner room table (replacement cost to us $1,300), chipped and scratched our new bedroom furniture, distorted the pleats on an upholstered headboard which they also failed to cover leaving grimy handprints In addition, though we took the time to cover all the hardwood floors and stair treads, in their haste they dropped a nightstand while literally running upstairs with it in hand and significantly dented a hardwood stair tread The nightstand didn't fair well either We filed a complaint and never received a response demonstrating a lack accountability on the part of leadership and managerial ineptness on how to treat a Customer It should be noted that Diggins & Rose were not the least expensive There was one exceptional event during this move One of the original movers who arrived with the truck was a part timer He worked harder, more diligently and demonstrated maturity and respectfulness to us and our belongings In fact, when I went to thank him personally at the conclusion, and to offer him a tip for his outstanding performance, he refused stating "none of us deserve anything, because your house was trashed" Rather compelling when one of the movers recognizes and substantiates the claim And again, no one from Diggins & Rose followed up on our complaint I purposely waited to post this review in hope that my temperament would softened It didn't happen I strongly advise not to use Diggins & Rose
We used Diggins and Rose for a move from New Hampshire to FloridaWe had a very positive experience with this moving companyWe received an on-site evaluation within hours, and they stayed on the timeline given for pickup and deliveryThe movers on both ends were very efficient and courteous, and were very careful in wrapping our furnitureIn the end there were two items missing, but they were located shortly after my inquiry into their whereaboutsTheir online locator of the moving van was not working correctly, as the driver was using a different truck than usual, so it kept showing that it was still in NH, which created some anxiety on my partSo be sure to call to find out where the van is if you are concerned after looking at the online locator
