We had Steve's Basement and Drain Tile Repair place drains in the yard for irrigation in the past with an ok experience In July 2016, we had water drain into the basement This led to a new drain in the front of the house in an effort to move water away from the house Unfortunately, this initial drain did not help and in fact made the drainage in the basement worse We personally were able to correct this issue by installing a drain cap and ensuring the drain ran at a pitch to drain away from the house During this process we talked about adding a battery back up to our sump pump We already had our house alarm trigger if the sump pump was not working and this had proved effective in the past The quote stated "Install a new battery back up complete with a new outlet line and deep cycle marine battery for the new basump pump SBD [Steve's Basement and Drain] to contact Ohio Utility Protection Service Estimate includes all labor and material to complete the listed work

Please do not use this companySteve's Basement & Drain Tile created more damage than repair He installed a dry well in our backyard that was not necessary, thus causing more damage to our basement that was not there prior to the work He also up charged us more than $without out notifying us and was not stated in the contract We also paid for a new sump pump that was never installed It was only when my husband took a closer look that we realized the old sump pump was still there, not a new one that we paid for We have had continuous problems since his service We had contacted him numerous times, he does not return phone calls After having another expert in the field look at the work MrC*** did, we not only were over charged (12K), but also found most of the work he did was completely unnecessary Please do not use this company
