They were fantastic! They replaced our old roof. It them only 2 weeks from the old one to be taken down and the new one to be installed. Mark is a professional. He was always on time and quickly returns calls. Thanks to Mark, the roof replacement inspections by the city were prompt allowing for the rapid progression of the installation.
His crew are super professional, as well. Very clean and polite. They worked hard! Always cleaned up at the end of the day. They roof looks beautiful!
Over the years, I have been constantly disappointed by contractors. This company, however, has been a breath of fresh air. Wish they all could be like that!
When he demanded "my money" the day he said new roof was finished, I told him about some unfinished work. I was then subjected to a barrage of comments for about 10 minutes (***).
The first contractor "fixed" the leak four times. They finally gave up and refunded 50% of my payment.
Mark & Son came in and made the repair in about four hours.
Quick, easy to deal with, the work was done two years ago, no leaks to date.
I agree with the other reviews. Mark & Sons Construction, Inc. reroofed my villa. They left an enormous amount of debris in the yard and on the roof. I had to clean up nails, tin tabs, and broken shingles after they finished the job. There was a water bottle jammed in the gutter. They roofed over water damaged plywood which resulted in the roof sagging, collecting water, and producing an ugly shingle line; all clearly visible from the street. Now there may be an active water leak.
I have been quoted $1400 to repair the bad section of his new roof installation. Building department personal said the roof wasn't inspected because *** signed an affidavit that the plywood was satisfactory. His roofers damaged other parts of the villa. I did meet *** once and others with similar problems. He said that it was my fault the roof was sagging and I need to pay for the roof repair. Now he doesn't return my calls, respond to my letters, or desire to discuss the warrantee.
Very unprofessional company. The workers do not speak English which is not a big deal because they will alert the owner of the company, who speaks English, if you have a concern. The Owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of taking a customer service approach with people he will yell at you and say whatever is happening is your fault and to deal with it. According to him you are the problem and he will not listen to you or try to come up with a solution to address the "problem" you came to him with.
