Review: I was seen at Mark Twain Medical Center in October 1, 2013. I was seen for anaphylactic shock from an allergic reaction. I presented to the ER with tightening of the throat and hives. I was treated urgently. I returned to the ER at Mark Twain on October 3, 2013 for repeat symptoms. I at that time was able to see that they did not have my insurance information correctly and advised the receptionist. I also at that time explained I was seen the previous day and could they correct the information on that visit. Well, a few months later I get a bill that they billed my secondary insurance as the only insurance coverage I had. I spoke with Patient Financial Services and was assured that they would rebill correctly that they did see the insurance order was change on the following date of service. I then receive a subsequent bill a few month later. It still had not been corrected. This same issue has gone on for 2 years. They have not billed to my primary correctly in a timely fashion and have been denied for "timely filing" from my insurance companies because they waited almost 2 years to try and correct. I have made many attempts to correct this with them immediately when notified of the error. I last spoke with Junior a supervisor and was assured after having a conference call with my insurance and him that it would be forwarded to the adjustment department for write off for timely filing. Well its now almost 2.5 years later and I just received a collection letter for the same issue that was supposed to be handled years ago. I am told it was not written off and they do show that it was denied for timely filing but no one has done it. So I need to make the payment of $3515.00 to make it go away. I refuse, they should have billed in a timely fashion. I have spoken with them and both my insurance companies timely. It just needed billed timely. They now have the excuse of the ID numbers are wrong that why it didn't get billed or paid. Not true.Desired Settlement: I would like the account balances written off as I was told over a year ago for "timely filing" error. The correct insurance information was presented to them immediately when I received the first bill. I have always called them when I received a bill to assist them in billing my insurance. I have given them my insurance information many time. I have proof of their information and it is correct. They just need to adjust the balance off at this time.
