Had we known this, we would have never done business with him

We purchased vinyl shutters 7 years ago which has a 40 year warranty. Our insurance company paid him $87.00 each for 10 shutters. Total of $870.00. They're fading now and we would like to have them worked on or replaced. We've called him numerous times with no response. Then, after numerous calls, we were fortunate in speaking with him on one occasion. He said he would pass by and look at the shutters. We haven't heard from him since. Again we've called him numerous times with no response. How does this guy continue doing business? Had we known this, we would have never done business with him.
