Mark Worley's Construction Reviews (%countItem)

When it comes to designing, foundation, structure, and all other refined details, Mark and Connie at Mark Worley's Construction truly delivers. We can't all live in Waco Texas and have the Fixer Upper HGTV dream. But as a satisfied customer of the Worley's, it feels like we had our own highly qualified Chip and Joanna Gaines team every step of the way. Quick to answer any questions by text, email, or telephone our project (full house reno, with LVL support beams, new bathroom) was expected to take 6-8 months with us living in an apartment months as well. The Worley's accomplished this monumental feat all in 3 months, we didn't have to move out, and it all became quite possibly our favorite Christmas gift ever. We highly recommend the Worley's to anyone in the Tennessee Valley looking for their own HGTV experience looking for a Fixer Upper of their own.

We really appreciate this wonderful review. It was a pleasure to work with Chad and Malorie on their beautiful home. When we can make a difference in peoples lives by helping make their home more comfortable and enjoyable it is rewarding and fun! We love collaborating with families to give them not only the space they are looking for but help make the aesthetic and design they dreamed of a reality!

Revdex.com.org rates Mark Worley construction with an a+ . Searching public records, I found no bankruptcy, fines and no law suits. Expecting to leave a message l called " WOW" immediately my call was answered. Within days, we signed a contract and work started. He and his crew could do all aspects of the in-law addition. Not having to deal with more than one contractor was a great relief. He and his crew are very diverse in all aspects of the work. Honest and trustworthy comes to mind in recommending them. The price per square foot ls more than fair , his wife coordination's made all materials available when needed (no waiting). This group brought about what I had envisioned and built it with many extras, in far less time I expected. I'm so satisfied, you may call Mark or Connie to see my addiction. Note : Mark Worley's construction has no hidden costs. ð??

My goodness, we don't think we have ever had a customer do so much research and checks on finding a contractor before, but we sure were glad they went with us for this 1500 square foot addition in Madison! This addition included a new full kitchen, full bathroom, garage, porch, living and dining area!
Our team really cares for our customers and we take pride in our work. As stated above Sam is so happy with the addition that she has offered for any customer that is looking for an addition to come see it! We sure do appreciate her and her family!

After we paid thousands of dollars for sheetrock repair, skim coating, sanding, painting, trim replacement throughout the first floor of our house, there is literally not one surface that doesn't need rework. Trim was not installed, surfaces don't have paint, sheetrock joints are uneven, carpet was stained with spilled paint, paint drips and splatters are everywhere, caulk is missing, caulk is sloppily-applied and/or unsanded, paint lines where walls meet ceiling are uneven, and the more time I spend looking at this "completed" job, the more deficiencies I find. All of these concerns remain AFTER the company returned to "touch up" previously-identified problems. They wanted a third chance to come back out, but I simply cannot trust them not to continue to inflict new damage and make existing problems worse. On their last day onsite, the crew left the unoccupied property unsecured when they departed leaving all the new appliances, and many power tools and other personal property vulnerable to theft.
Per the estimate and invoice (which constitute the entirety of our contract), ALL walls were to be skimmed and sanded prior to paint. After paint was applied, the contractor's representative denied that old sheetrock was to be skimmed (despite the contract language), and ignored the fact that not even new sheetrock was adequately sanded to provide a smooth surface. We paid for extensive labor that was not performed, including the skimming and sanding described above, as well as for installation of trim that was not installed. I did deduct the cost of the materials that weren't provided, but received no accommodation for the fact that much of the work has to be redone, and some of it was never done in the first place. I've waited a week to see if they would contact me to address these deficiencies and their acceptance of money for work not performed; they have made no such effort.
They say they're Revdex.com certified with an A+ rating, but I can't find them in the database
Product_Or_Service: Sheetrock repair, popcorn removal, painting, trim.
Account_Number: Proposal *** Invoi

Desired Outcome

Refund I request a refund of a portion of the money we paid. Several elements of the labor which were part of this job were either not performed or were performed so inadequately as to be useless. Extensive rework is necessary, and actual damage to some interior elements must be corrected. This contractor markets himself as a professional builder with "Fantastic Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail," as well as "Great Customer Service." We have found neither claim to be true.

Mark Worley's Construction Response • Dec 12, 2019

After receiving this complaint, We have been in touch with the customer and have offered her a monetary resolution. At this time has informed us that she would talk it over with her husband and get back with us.

Customer Response • Dec 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The contractor has offered a 10% refund, and since it seems like a "take it or leave it" proposition, we're going to accept it. It will cost us nearly 3 times as much to have the work re-done (not to mention the inherent delay), but it is more than we would have received without Revdex.com involvement. I was wrong to pay this contractor in full when we were dissatisfied with the work. In hindsight, I'd caution anyone in a similar situation to get estimates for the rework BEFORE making payment, and to deduct that amount from what they pay. Expensive lesson learned.

Mark Worley's Construction is terrific! Mark has done a couple of renovation projects on our home and I have repeatedly been pleased with the craftsmanship of his work, his dedication to his customer, and the prices are very reasonable. Mark showed us a genuine concern for what we wanted and he even advised us on saving money on his expertise when it came to replacing some of our floors in our home. In the future, I plan to call on Mark Worley's Construction again when the need arises for updates in our home. I highly recommend Mark Worley to anyone who wants quality in their home!
