I am rejecting this response because: Sorry, had to print this very lengthy "BS" so to speak to be able to read and respond with any form of intelligence First issue regarding sales tax I am a business owner and would never question, or as stated argue with another business about sales tax We all know it's inevitable I did, however, talk her down in the price of the car to offset the tax as we were paying cash and I believe that is what any consumer would do She did also offer the rescending order for an additional $to be returned if unsatisfied within days We were on our way to San Diego Not much chance in that time frame When my daughter's plate had been stolen in the first week she had it, we immediately called Convenient Cars to see about the processing of the papers She then stated that she had already began the process After a few weeks with nothing we called the local Sheriff's office They looked into the vehicle i.dnumber and found that nothing had yet been filed wherein we called her back threatening to take further measures with the Sheriff's department It was then that she hightailed it to Sacramento, and miracle of miracles returned with the replacement plates and pink slip and registration. As for the time frame of mechanical complaint, I still believe, after years of buying used cars from other retailers, that months is an insanely short period of time for so many things to go wrong, especially with emissions She stated that we received a copy of the smog report which I do not have I have to wonder of the legitimacy of that report now.In fact we did drive the car to San Diego It struggled up the Grapevine but we were unfamiliar with the make and model and did not really know of it's potential so didn't question it My daughter, when we inquired as to weather she enjoyed her new car or not, did tell us that she wished it had more guts in the San Diego freeway traffic Again, we didn't think anything of it Simply thought it was a gutless little car Then, within months the engine light came on and revealed the truth.Every used car I have purchased has lasted at least years or more One was a Taurus bought over years ago for $which now has 176,miles on it and in that five years we have only replaced the water pump and an occasional brake padThe fact that she thinks months is ample for a $used car is mind blowing Also, as I stated in the original complaint, she would simply respond with AS IS This is why I simply want something on report I know I have no recourse of action She just really has no integrity Lesson sadly learned P.S Had to get my daughter a reliable car [redacted] offered us $1000.00! Fortunately she found a mechanic who wanted it for $ Now, between the repairs and the original cost of the car, we are only out $ Never going there again and definitely could have shared this on the local [redacted] page she advertises throughBut I do have integrity

It is always unfortunate to hear about car issuesI wish all the cars I sell could go a million miles and never need any maintanceUnfortunately, that is not reality*** and her husband came in and purchased a *** Aveo from Convenient Cars with a little over 100,miles on it for
their daughter in collegeThe car had a clean carfax report with no prior accidents, a clean title, and passed smog and saftey inspectionsConvenient Cars also drove this car a little over miles with no issues and *** and her husband test drove the car and were also pleased with its conditionUpon the sale, *** argued with me about paying sales tax then after I had informed her it goes to the state, not me and it was required with the sale, she reluctently agreeed to pay it, but then argued about how much it wasI polietly informed her I take the figures directly off the Board of Equilization website at the time of sale, and it was an acurate figureNext, I offered them a day money back warrenty to purchase with the car and they declinedSo they knew the sale was NO WARRENTY and signed the according documents*** and her husband were also given a copy of the passing smog report, kelly blue book, and carfax report in addition to their sales contracts. As far as it taking Convenient Cars days to start the paperwork that is simply not trueConvenient Cars began the first round of documents within five days of the sale dateAnd when the second round of documents were being processed about weeks after the sale *** called and informed me someone had stolen the plates from the car and I needed to expedite her DMV paperworkI informed her that unfortunately, that is not how the DMV works but I will certainly send in the according documents for replacement platesShe was very upset at me that I could not make the process go fasterIt took about a month to get the plates and upon delivery there was no mention of any mechanical issues with the car. THREE MONTHS later I get a very angry message from *** saying that they had to replace sensors and she was very upsetI informed her that although it's unfortunate, sensors do need to be periodically replaced as maintance and it does not mean she has a bad carShe insisteted that it was an underlying issue upon purchase to try and get Convenient Cars to pay for repairsOf which, I informed her that that was impossible for the issues to have been pre-exsisting, as the car would not have passed smog if it had bad sensors or any catalytic converter issuesThen she said it would cost a very bloated figure to repair because the sensors were "special" and HAD to be done at the *** dealershipThis sounded odd to me so I called a *** dealership myself and asked and they said that was simply not trueANY reputable shop can do the jobI gave *** the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was misinformed not lyingSo when I informed her of this hoping she would be pleased to hear this, she did not respond. As far as the brakes go, again, it would not have passed saftety inspections with bad brakes and, in fact, Aileen and her husband drove the car a few days after the sale, miles to San Diego and their daughter continued to drive the car for more months and I heard of no issues until after many months later and hundreds of miles of use I am not responsible for maintaining their brake system especially after hundreds of miles and several months of being driven by a teenager. It appears that since *** only had the vehicle for a short time, she feels she should have some type of warrenty even though she knows she purchased the vehicle NO WARRANTY It appears as if she expects someone else to pay for her bills to maintaince her vehicle THREE MONTHS after purchase, which is unrealisticFrom a business perspective it appears that *** would like the benifits of a warranty without paying for one which is not fair to the car dealer or the customers that DO pay for a warrenty. FACT: *** and her husband were given copies of the passing smog certificate, Kelly Blue Book value, carfax report in addition to their standard sales documents at the time of sale. FACT: *** and her husband drove the vehicle miles a few days after the sale and the car was continually driven for the next THREE MONTHS without any mention of mechanical issues. FACT: *** and her husband were offered the option to purchase a day money back warrenty and refusedThey understood the car was AS-IS/NO WARRENTY

I am rejecting this response because:  Sorry, had to print this very lengthy "BS" so to speak to be able to read and respond with any form of intelligence.  First issue regarding sales tax.  I am a business owner and would never question, or as stated argue with another business about sales tax.  We all know it's inevitable.  I did, however, talk her down in the price of the car to offset the tax as we were paying cash and I believe that is what any consumer would do.  She did also offer the rescending order for an additional $250.00 to be returned if unsatisfied within 3 days.  We were on our way to San Diego.  Not much chance in that time frame.  When my daughter's plate had been stolen in the first week she had it, we immediately called Convenient Cars to see about the processing of the papers.  She then stated that she had already began the process.  After a few weeks with nothing we called the local Sheriff's office.  They looked into the vehicle i.d. number and found that nothing had yet been filed wherein we called her back threatening to take further measures with the Sheriff's department.  It was then that she hightailed it to Sacramento, and miracle of miracles returned with the replacement plates and pink slip and registration. As for the time frame of mechanical complaint, I still believe, after years of buying used cars from other retailers, that 3 months is an insanely short period of time for so many things to go wrong, especially with emissions.  She stated that we received a copy of the smog report which I do not have.  I have to wonder of the legitimacy of that report now.In fact we did drive the car to San Diego.  It struggled up the Grapevine but we were unfamiliar with the make and model and did not really know of it's potential so didn't question it.  My daughter, when we inquired as to weather she enjoyed her new car or not, did tell us that she wished it had more guts in the San Diego freeway traffic.  Again, we didn't think anything of it.  Simply thought it was a gutless little car.  Then, within 3 months the engine light came on and revealed the truth.Every used car I have purchased has lasted at least 5 years or more.  One was a 2006 Taurus bought over 5 years ago for $2800.00 which now has 176,000. miles on it and in that five years we have only replaced the water pump and an occasional brake pad. The fact that she thinks 3 months is ample for a $4600.00 used car is mind blowing.  Also, as I stated in the original complaint, she would simply respond with AS IS.  This is why I simply want something on report.  I know I have no recourse of action.  She just really has no integrity.  Lesson sadly learned.  P.S.  Had to get my daughter a reliable car.  [redacted] offered us $1000.00!  Fortunately she found a mechanic who wanted it for $1500.00.  Now, between the repairs and the original cost of the car, we are only out $3700.00.  Never going there again and definitely could have shared this on the local [redacted] page she advertises through... But I do have integrity.
