Review: I hired Mark's inspections before I bought my home back in November 2013. [redacted] told me that everything was fine with the home just one tree needed to be removed from the home but as for structual damage, termites or mold your home is fine. We closed on the home in February and just started our renovations. Before we started demoing anything we noticed that the exposed beam in the basement was 2 inches off and was causing the home to sink in the back. Then as we opened up the walls there was extensive amounts of mold that was caused by water leaking in from the stone in front of the house. Also, we found an infestation of termites, when the termite inspector came out he told us there is no way the insprector could have missed this that is was clearly visable on the outside of the home that there was termites. I called [redacted] from Mark's inspections who inpsected our home and who is also [redacted] of the company and I explained to him what is going on. He said ok, I will come out and have a look. he schedules a 11:00 appointment never shows up and tells me that hes too busy and will have to come back at 1:30. I said fine, He comes to my home at 1:30 and meets with my husband. As soon as my husband introduces himself the first thing [redacted] says is we have to hurry up because I have an appointment in Somers so I cant stay long. My husband thought that was a bit rude but didnt say anything. He then proceeds to show him all the mold damage from the leaking water that was coming in from the stone on the outside of the house and [redacted] starts to get very wise and says well I cant see through walls so I dont know what to tell you. My husband then shows him the termite damage and he says there is nothing I can do about that. My husband then brings him into the basement to show him the exposed beam and he says that this beam was not there when he inspected the home. Now my Realtor was there and she even said that he went into the room and looked at the beam but neglected to mention that it was 2 inches off and that the house was sinking. My husband said to [redacted], what can you do to compensate us? [redacted] then says nothing I cant see through walls too bad. My husband then reiterates that we paid for a service and you did not do what you were supposed to do, everything you were supposed to check for you never checked and now we have to pay an exterminator for the termintes, we have to change the support beams in the house to level the house and we also have to pay for mold removal. [redacted] said too bad and then left to go on his next appointment that he was in a major rush for.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $4,800.00
