Review: In January I hired [redacted] to install a motor in my son's Chevrolet S10 pick up truck. On July 10th, the truck broke down on the highway. The person who towed it stated that the mechanic had not properly mounted the motor. We checked the bolt and it was the wrong one. In addition, the wiring was not properly installed causing a short and the wires to burn. My wife and I made several attempts to contact [redacted]. He never returned the call. After trying several times, my wife had finally gotten a hold of him and he basically said the tow person was lying. He made to attempts to make good on his work. We have had several mechanics look at the job and they all give the same report. [redacted] does not stand by his work and took advantage of an 18 year old child. My son coud have been killed when his truck shut down in the middle of Rt. *. Not to mention his lack of concern and willingness to correct his wrong.Desired Settlement: Replacement of my money or repairing his mistakes.

This letter is in response to your letter dated September 24th, 2013 and received September 30th, 2013.
Attached to your letter, a complaint was described that was submitted on September 22nd, 2013 with an ID of [redacted]. The complaint states that a customer hired a representative from our company by the name of [redacted] to install a motor. There is no record of a customer by that name, also there is not an employee by that name employed at our company and we are an Auto Body company, we do not replace/install motors as part of our services.
After speaking with you on October 1st, 2013, an attempt was made to contact the complainant at both phone numbers listed, the ’'daytime" number is out of service so a message was left at the "evening" number on October 1st, 2013 at 4:05 pm asking the complainant to call to discuss the complain, as of this time we have not received a call back.
It is our belief that this complaint was made against our company in error. I will continue to make attempts to contact the complainant so the complaint can be filed with the appropriate company.
