Review: Storage fees for [redacted] County is $50.00 per day after the first 18 hours. Marlboro Towing is charging $50.00 per calendar day. When asked why they had the [redacted] County towing and storage fees posted and charged us outside these rules it was stated that it was an [redacted] Marlboro City rule. We called [redacted] Marlboro Town Hall office and it was stated that there is no law or rule that the town has in respect to towing and storage that is different from [redacted] County law. In Fact the clerk also told me that [redacted] Marlboro follows [redacted] County towing and storage fees, rules, regulations and guidelines. When I asked Marlboro Towing about this they would not give me an answer and said that was the charge and the conversation was over.Desired Settlement: I would like to see an oversight committee check their books to find out how many people have this company taken money from. I would like a clear explanation, along with proper documentation as to how they came up with the charges for two days of storage when they had the car for less than 18 hours. I would also like to know in writing why they are charging people with out proper signage to the fact that they are charging per calendar day. FYI: The car in question was there because it was stolen and found by the police department, which in turn had it towed to this company.

Those fees were explained to the owner and she stated that [redacted] was going to be reimbursing her. All Municipal Police Departments are $175,00 for Towing, $5.00 fuel surge and $50.00 per calendar day storage. This impound has nothing to do with [redacted] County Police Department. Review: This towing company charges $25 a day. They are closed Saturday and Sunday when people are off work and can sort things out. However my actual complaint is why they charge me 25 dollars a day when they are closed for business. So I can't get my car because you are closed and you are charging me for having my car. Kinda holding my car for ransom by definition.

If your business is closed then you shouldn't be charging people for the thing you can't doDesired Settlement: I am not going to pay for days of impound when could get my car. but they are closed and don't care

My name is Brian B[redacted], representative for Marlboro Towing INC. This email is in reference to complaint [redacted] had his car towed by the [redacted] police department on 9-9-2014 . [redacted] contacted our office on 9-19-2014, for charges on his vehicle. We advised him our rates are 80.00 for the police call, 3.50 per loaded mile, and 25.00 per calendar day for storage and securement of the asset. When police departments remove occupants from the vehicle and we secure them, we sign a release form , which entails the contents of the vehicle and the owners information. It is a fail safe for us to ensure the registered owner of the vehicle actually gets his vehicle back. With that being said [redacted] is required to go to the police department sign the release and bring that paperwork to us . He secured his release on 9-24-2014 at 2:31 at the [redacted] police department and picked his vehicle up a short time later. He is disputing charges over days he says we weren't open in order to pick his vehicle up. The simple answer to this allegation is, he didn't follow the proper procedures to receive his vehicle back until 9-24-2014 so the charges accrued until then is a mood point. The more in depth answer to that is, our office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8a.m.-5p.m. Saturday by appointment only. We do operate our trucks 24 hours a day 7 days a week. unfortunately we do not provide office hours in off peak times, also releases from the police departments are only available when their clerical staff is on hand, which is normal business hours.
