Mr [redacted] has stated that he has no record of doing business with us which is not true, per the attached documents The buyer's guide wasn't provided until the signing of the paperwork Up until that moment we had assumed we were dealing with a private seller, as that is how it was presented on Craigslist The condition of the car was misrepresented by Mr [redacted] as well He was fully aware of the issues and neglected to inform us when asked When we attempted to communicate with him he blocked our attempts He knowingly and willingly sold a damaged vehicle, advertised himself as a private seller and mishandled the paperwork at the time of sale

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]They did finally send me paperwork. I will have to see if it works in Saturday. They claim that they answered my calls and texts which are lies. I had to file this complaint to get them to return my calls and texts because they were ignoring them. Regards, [redacted]

I received my Title yesterday and consider my complaint resolved

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted] has given written permission to a Revdex.com representative for me to speak and act on her behalf.  I did assist with the purchase of the vehicle, so [redacted] DOES have a check written to him from me that assisted with the purchase of the vehicle.   There was NO buyer's guide in the vehicle or on ANY vehicle in the lot.   There were definitely NOT 40 cars in the lot.   The vehicle was listed on Craigslist as "for sale by owner".  It was not in the dealer section of Craiglist.  It was assumed we were purchasing from a private seller until the actual sale occurred.   The "office" is located within another business, a storage unit facility.    Mr. [redacted] only introduced himself as [redacted] on the phone and in the ad on Craigslist.  He also listed his personal cell phone number and not a business number.   The Buyer's Guide was NOT presented until we were taken back to the office and in the middle of the sale.   We have photos of the Jeep as it was advertised and I do have the buyer's guide that was folded up in the envelope with the stickers still in place showing that it was indeed NOT on the vehicle.  We now know that this is illegal to do and that the guide MUST be displayed in a prominent place ON the vehicle.  This most definitely wasn't the case.   [redacted] did not "blow it up".   She drove it for approximately 3 days and 40 miles, before the transmission began to slip and it began to overheat.  It was found that despite his assurance that the vehicle was serviced and in "excellent" condition it had been "serviced" just enough to run for a few days before falling apart.   It was found that the radiator cap was replaced with one that didn't seal to hide the fact that the radiator needed to be replaced.   We made multiple attempts to contact [redacted] but he would not answer the calls.  We did leave reviews on his Facebook review section which he promptly removed since they were not favorable.  He also removed the photos of the vehicles he had for sale   It was also found from other's reviews of the company that many have had this exact same issue.   He passes himself off as a private owner, lies about the condition of the vehicle, and then when you are convinced you want to purchase it is revealed that he is in fact a dealership.   Further research online has revealed that we aren't the first person to have this issue.   This "business" definitely needs to be investigated.  [redacted] has begun repairs on the vehicle and so far has spent about 600 dollars in parts and labor and it will need more work.   Mr. [redacted] wants to say that she got the Jeep at the "amazing" price that she did, but what he doesn't want anyone to know is that he flat out lied about the condition of the vehicle, which makes the price NOT quite so "amazing" as he says it is.   [redacted] would like the repairs to the transmission and radiator reimbursed as those are the two major defects that should have been disclosed at the time of sale.

[redacted]

Hello... Marley Auto Sales responded to the customers complaint via cell phone and text both times ...and sent a corrected transfer form. Customer waited 5 months to tell us he needed something corrected from back in 2016... files were in storage and needed to be found...which takes time.Thanks...

Mr. [redacted] has stated that he has no record of doing business with us which is not true, per the attached documents.   The buyer's guide wasn't provided until the signing of the paperwork.  Up until that moment we had assumed we were dealing with a private seller, as that is how it was presented on Craigslist.   The condition of the car was misrepresented by Mr. [redacted] as well.   He was fully aware of the issues and neglected to inform us when asked.   When we attempted to communicate with him he blocked our attempts.   He knowingly and willingly sold a damaged vehicle, advertised himself as a private seller and mishandled the paperwork at the time of sale.

This is in response to a concern from customer [redacted]Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2001 Toyota 4runner from us.  He purchased the vehicle AS-IS with no warranty, expressed or implied.  He was offered a warranty as is every customer, he declined.  I have not...

seen any errors in his paper work as to year or mileage. Also, he was made aware of the mileage and year.  The advertisement did state it was 2002, but that was corrected upon his arrival.   Since the temporary tag is not in my possession I do not know weather or not there was an error.  I would be more then happy to fix the error, if there is one, and provide the customer with a new tag. There will be no refund of $500.00. Cordially Yours,[redacted]ManagerMarley Auto Sales, LLC.[redacted]

In response to our customer [redacted]:Mr. [redacted] did purchase a vehicle from us...a very nice Toyota Avalon. This vehicle was sold to him as-is...no warranty. The vehicle was inspected by a mutual friend of both parties for them. The vehicle is 14 years old and had over 200k miles. and he was...

made aware of its needs before purchaseThe vehicle was sold to Mr. [redacted] for no profit ...as he is a fellow in our friends church and we felt that we would should sell this particular car to him without profit. The cracked handle for the drivers side was promised...it was ordered and its still sitting on my desk...Mr [redacted] never came in to pick it up. We did promise to order it... but we did not promise to install it...we told him that he would be responsible for this.So he never came back.Mr. [redacted] was aware of the leaking oil cover gasket..a $7 part that needed repair before he purchased the car. We pressure washed it and made him aware of the repair needed before purchase. As I stated before... He bought the car as-is ..where is.we did not promise to fix it[redacted] Auto Sales llc strives for superior customer service with prices that are the cheapest and most realistic in Northern Kentucky and through out the Tri-state area.Occasionally in our business there are miss understandings and we try hard to solve these issues, we cannot lose our focus on value and cars at competitive prices. If we were to make the repairs on this particular vehicle or promise to make the repairs the cost of the vehicle would have been far greater than Mr. [redacted] would have paid or would have been willing to pay.We deny that any of these claims are valid... we are available 24 hours a day [redacted]also we have a 24 hour number [redacted]Owner [redacted] Auto Sales llc
