Marlow Shoe Repair

To whom it may concern,This letter is being sent to dispute any and all claims of damage to shoes while in the custody of Marlow Shoe Repair, left by [redacted] - [redacted] The used shoes were left for repair of a dislodged pin in the front of the shoe (called the toe box)The pin moved in and out of the shoe freelyupon further examination of the shoe (at time of repair) it was noticed that 1/of the inside of the shoe was missing, at that point the shoe was bagged up and placed on our shelf for pickupWhen [redacted] - [redacted] came to claim her shoes, she was immediately informed of the previous damage, "her exact words were that she didn't think it was like that before"We kindly explained that the shoes had previous work completed by someone else as there is evidence of crazy glue and a previous heel replacement on the shoe, further I pointed out that the inside of the shoe was darkened with body lotion and general discolorationFurther I explained that if we had damaged it in some manner, we would have simply glued the large chunk of wood back in place or taken responsibilityfurther I explained that we have cameras in the store; including the work area and that I could prove beyond a doubt that she is wrongShe was not happy but left the store, no money changed handsA week later she returned, this time with a box and demands to be paid for her shoes, she claimed we damaged them and that we owed her full purchase price for shoes, Naturally I refusedAt this point she went into a racist rant, further she threatened to take me to court, as her daughter and son are both attorneysI informed her that she was on camera with audio, to which she yelled "F_CK you white piece of SH_TIn closing, we take our work very seriously, having been in business since in the same location and owning one of the largest mail order repair facilities in the U.SI am a consultant to the shoe repair association of America and also do product testing for the Italian rubber industriesOur ethics are beyond reproachPlease bear in mind that the shoes are old, they have a previously repaired heel which is dry rotting, the toe area of the shoe in dispute has evidence of crazy glue residue (not ours) which we do not useMrs [redacted] - [redacted] is either completely confused or is a scam artistWe will not comply with payment and can win in any court action against us with irrefutable video proof

Everything that is in the business owners response is a blatant lie. I have the receipt from where I paid for the repair and I have the shoe as proof of the damage that occurred in his care. It clearly is impossible that no human foot could have caused that type of damage.
