Complaint: II am coming this complaint as no contractor should have a A-rating for causing damaged and then not paying for the repairs Another unethical part of this shady business I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted]

We were contracted to remodel a bathroom for mr. [redacted] which we did a great job. I normally have an on call plumber but due to time constraints and promptness to complete his project I took it upon myself to do the plumbing work myself as I couldn't schedule my normal licensed plumber during that... time. before this "leak" occurred mr. [redacted] had contacted me about a leak that had occurred and it was causing damage so we quickly responded and were on the jobsite the next morning to see where the leak was coming from. well results there was no leak but simply during the demo when we were removing the old tub there was a huge 300 lb concrete poured slab which mr [redacted] knew about but didn't inform me before we started that we'd be running into such an issue....anyhow during the demo we had to break it down...when we broke it down it caused damage to the bathroom below to which we repaired the very next day. I didn't up-charge mr [redacted] for the extra work to remove the 300lb concrete pour. A few weeks later I get another text from mr [redacted] that we have another leak and that I need to be responsible...mind you he's sending me these texts after 9pm to which I always answer and I tell him i'll be there the next morning to which we always show up and do what we say. I show up and the first thing I hear from mr [redacted] I need your insurance you're responsible for this. i'm cautious at this point because that's the third time he mentions that he's quick to do insurance claims, for what reason I don't know but I don't hear that too often. before hand we were schedule to re-install the old vanity and the old dishwasher that mr [redacted] already had on-site. the second leak was coming from the kitchen waste line from the dishwasher. I made it clear to mr. [redacted] that we did not have anything to do with that section of work and that that was his old work. I also let it be known that his old vanity leaked water too but he was too cheap to replace that or the p-trap section. I gave mr [redacted] a solution for the actual leak in the kitchen and he was very frustrated as if it were my fault and he knew it wasn't but he went ahead and directed me to fix his water leak so I performed the work and didn't charge him either. I made it clear to him that if anything came up to please let me know asap and we would take care of the issue and pay for the repairs. mr. [redacted] weeks later insists that he needs my insurance that something is wrong, so I deny him my insurance because I don't want a claim on it without him knowing what the issue is. my main issue is he didn't notify me of the issue he took it upon himself to just hire someone else at a very inflated hourly rate for very minimal work. he's claiming I didn't seal the grout, he's correct I didn't...because we never discussed that service nor did he ask if we could perform it. so he's incorrect in saying I didn't do my work in regards to that. he's claiming that there was water damage below...maybe there was...but I do also have evidence that there was preexisting water damage from before I every did work on his place. If he would've had the courtesy to of let us know that there was actual water leaking that was our mistake this third time and not the first two times he claimed it was our but we fixed those issues anyways, I would've had no issue repairing everything. on 11-16-16 I told mr [redacted] that I would only be willing to pay 1000.00 and he seemed fine with it and would await the money. the next day he kept calling me over and over and I told him i'd email him the money through google services. in the email I clearly stated a General Release of Liability Agreement, he was quick to claim the $1000.00 he had agreed to the day before and he breached the agreement by disclosing the situation to a third party. I let mr [redacted] know I would pay for only a portion, I let know the referral service know too about the intended payment I was to make. now mr. [redacted] is simply not happy with himself. I asked mr. [redacted] to retract his claim to the BBB, to which I am a paying BBB member and I take it very serious to keep an great and outstanding business model to the general public and I have hundreds of clients that can back my word. I feel if mr [redacted] does not retract his claim I will be referring this matter to my attorney next week and it is of no benefit to him or myself to go that route. he should've simply let us repair our mistake because we never gave him one ounce of indiction we were going to leave him hanging but when he decided to go behind our backs and think he can get someone else to charge whatever they want for very minimal work, he's incorrect and out of principal I won't allow that.
