Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Thank you for agreeing to pay the taxes Perhaps we could explore the complaint item-by-item Let's try this one first According to the contract champagne was to be provided to all guests Was champagne provided in any capacity? (Either to the guests at the small reception or to the bride afterwards)Please answer yes or no Regards, [redacted]

Please see the facts stated belowWe attempted to contact the bride Thursday, no reply, Friday no replyWe received a call from a person claiming she was the sister of the brideThis was at appox 1:on FridayShe informed us that she doesn't think there will be a wedding and what are there optionsI stated that they could still have the event with just her family but per the contract and the discussion I had with the groom, after the days payment, there are no refundsThis is why you pay in advanceI also told the groom that there are no refunds after the days, which triggered the bride to come in on the 14th day prior to the event and payI was asked by the sister if I could freeze all the items so they could bring the food to a shelterobviously they knew that a refund wouldn't be granted since they wanted to give the food away Now the bride is upset we froze the food???? On Sunday or Monday the bride came to the Marquis to collect the foodAt no time did she question the policy'sI had my staff help her load the food and also load the supplies for the wedding in her carI can only assume today that she was friendly because she wanted our help I can't help wonder what the family and bride would have done if I cancelled less then hours before the event??? I lost revenue and the opportunity to book a much larger weddingThe avg wedding is $17,The allegations she has made a borderline slanderousThe hours that I spent with her and allowed her to come in and set up during off times and did everything I could to make her day a special day She doesn't feel the staff should be paid?? She takes absolutely no responsibility I many times questioned why this wedding never took place, but I have a better idea of why today I would be willing to supply text messages, phone records and emails

Hello

Based on text massages and emails and conversations with the individual and her representative,  it is clear what the agreement was.  I was never told by the person that signed the agreement that the wedding was off.  The bride removed all food  items from the restaurant, but refused to take certain items. I attempted to contact her repeatedly to discuss the situation, which she refused to answer my calls. I was told by her sister to place items in the freezer for removal at a later date, which they removed. I do feel that a return of the sales tax collected should be returned. additional damages caused by the bride and groom will be addressed at a later date. I am truly sorry that the event was cancelled. I had numerous inquires for her date, and had full staff preparing for her wedding the week before the event. I spent hours meeting with her and others. The offer to have the event was offered to her, excluding the grooms family but she refused. The claim that the food came in boxes and wasn't fresh is nonsense, how else would food be delivered. To claim it was bait and switch doesn't make sense. where was I to put all the food she ordered??? I was told to put it in the freezer.... I have now spent additional time on this event then expected. I wish the bride future happiness....

person claiming she was the sister of the bride. This was at appox 1:55 on Friday. She informed us that she doesn't think there will be a wedding and what are there options. I stated that they could still have the event with just her family but per the contract and the discussion I had with the groom, after the 14 days payment, there are no refunds. This is why you pay in advance. I also told the groom that there are no refunds after the 14 days, which triggered the bride to come in on the 14th day prior to the event and pay. I was asked by the sister if I could freeze all the items so they could bring the food to a shelter. obviously they knew that a refund wouldn't be granted since they wanted to give the food away.  Now the bride is upset we froze the food???? On Sunday or Monday the bride came to the Marquis to collect the food. At no time did she question the policy's. I had my staff help her load the food and also load the supplies for the wedding in her car. I can only assume today that she was friendly because she wanted our help.
I can't help wonder what the family and bride would have done if I cancelled less then 24 hours before the event??? I lost revenue and the opportunity to book a much larger wedding. The avg wedding is $17,000.00. The allegations she has made a borderline slanderous. The hours that I spent with her and allowed her to come in and set up during off times and did everything I could to make her day a special day.
She doesn't feel the staff should be paid??
She takes absolutely no responsibility.
I many times questioned why this wedding never took place, but I have a better idea of why today....
I would be willing to supply text messages, phone records and emails...

The contract specifically states that the deposit is non-refundable, it does not suggest anywhere that the remainder is not. The contract has been provided as an attachment to this complaint for reference.
When we went for the tasting the caterer indicated that all food was going to be fresh. This is a bait and switch. The main entrees were out of a box.
Furthermore, upon the cancellation of the event, many of the food items were never made available to me (I will not list them all here as they are detailed in the original Revdex.com correspondence.) champagne, pork loin, beer, etc.
Reimbursement for all items not received (including the accompanying tax and gratuity for those items) are expected per the legal contract.
Regards,
