Dear [redacted] , As per our earlier conversation today, I am responding to you addressing Complaint ID [redacted] [redacted] ***'s card was erroneously charged on June ***, for $ That amount was voided on that same day within minutes, and the correct amount was charged for $54.91Please view copy attached [redacted] received an e-mail as per her request of proof of the voided charge on that same day - June ***, Please view copy attached Please view our correspondence attached She was informed by me that if her card is a bank card (not a credit card, but a debit card); it will take her bank 2-business days to reverse the charge If it were a regular credit card, she would not have seen the erroneous charge at all Please understand that we have no control over banks and how they handle and process charge backs The fact is that our establishment voided her card on the same day and within a few minutes of the erroneous transaction I feel the fact that [redacted] was unprofessional should be mentioned Please see [redacted] 's response in the e-mail correspondence Please contact me for any further assistance Thank you, [redacted]

She was informed by me that if her card is a bank card (not a credit card, but a debit card); it will take her bank 2-3 business days to reverse the charge.

Review: June *, 2014 at 3:14 PM a business lunch at the Marseille Restaurant, resulted in an erroneous $482.86 (FOUR HUNDRED & EIGHTY-TWO DOLLARS. EIGHTY-SIX CENT) charge to my Mastercard for a bill that was actually only for appx. $44 (FORTY-FOUR DOLLARS). I pointed the mistake out to the waiter and a [redacted] took over and brought me the correct bill (which I paid)and scribbled "VOID" and "REFUNDED" on the erroneous receipt. I requested a "REFUND RECEIPT" from the cash register as proof that the amount was indeed refunded to my account but was told that couldn't be done until the next day once the day's receipts were tallied. However, when upon returning to my office and calling my bank only to find that the $482.86 charge still showed on my account I called the restaurant and demanded a receipt showing that the amount had been refunded. Two hours after the erroneous transaction, despite their earlier ascertion that this was not possible, I received that refund receipt (Transaction #[redacted]) but was told by a [redacted] in the business office that the actual refund would take a couple of days. Today is June [redacted]. MY BANK SAYS THEY STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE REFUND. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THE MARSEILLE'S [redacted], HE TRIED TO BLAME THE BANK.Desired Settlement: I WANT MY MASTERCARD ACCOUNT REFUNDED THE ERRONEOUS CHARGE OF $482.86 IMMEDIATELY. AND THE RESTAURANT'S FINANCIAL PRACTICES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. AT BEST, THIS IS AN INDICATION OF VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES.
