Review: I sent a car to be fixed to Marsh Auto Salvage. They were to replace the transmission. When we picked up the car, there was a problem with the engine. I stopped payment on the transmission check because when my salesman looked at the engine, he is the one that sold the car to a customer and looked under the hood, he said it wasn't the same engine. The customer said the engine was fine when he drove it, the salesman drove it back for a half hour from auction and there was no problem with the engine and the tow truck drive drove it up on to his flatbed and said there was nothing wrong with the engine. I called Marsh and spoke to Mike who said they didn't do anything to the engine but that to bring the car back and they would replace it. I then paid for the transmission by credit card over the phone. He had the car for a couple of weeks. The customer was getting angry and we called him and he said the car had been done the day before and that he left a message. We had no message on any voicemail from him. He said he wanted $950 cash or we could not have the car. I have to show where my money is going and need a paper trail. Therefore my office manager called Mike asked if I could pay with cc over the phone or with cashiers check and he stated "No, if I don't have cash, the car will sit here and I will pull the engine out". I had to give him cash. He did not have our name of our business on the receipt. We had the customer pick up the car and he said the engine is still doing the same thing. It seems to be that they stole our engine from our car and replaced it with a bad engine and never fixed or replaced it again.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back for the engine of $950 because we now have to take the car to another mechanic and have the engine fixed or replaced by someone else because we have given the customer a warraty on the engine and transmission and we must own up to our warranty.
