Review: My experience with Metropolitan Financial Services Inc. (aka Marsh & Fried Holdings L.P.) has been a horrific. I lost years off my life due to their inadequacies.They helped me in my tax preparation in order to get me sizable returns for my personal and joint LLC partnership. Their services where expensive and explained the cost was because of a percentage of our overall returns.When the IRS / State did come to review myself and business partner (at the time) two years later, They left us in the dark out to hang for over a year consistently telling us they where preparing our paperwork or they needed something from us.After finally giving up and having the need to move forward, I got a tax lawyer. I was told that they over stated a majority of my deductions and wrote off an exorbitant amount of items by a significant amount in so we could get the high returns.Without the proper paperwork to backup most of the items they claimed for me, I now have a significant amount of debt to NY State & IRS, with interest and huge penalties. I feel totally taken advantage of and can't believe that a company like this can hold ZERO accountability for what they are doing repeatably for their customers.Desired Settlement: Refund me all fees paid for the tax prep as well as the interest/penalties incurred from the NY State / IRS.

They charged me a large sum of money and justified it as a percentage of our overall returns. They left me out to hang when IRS came to review me and I later learn that they over stated my deductions by a significant amount in order to secure these high returns. Now I have a significant debt to the IRS, inclusive of Interests and LARGE Penalties. I wish i'd better known how I was able to large returns and feel a bit taken advantage of as this horrible company hold ZERO liability for their actions.Desired Settlement: I hope that other people can come forward to confirm my account. My hope is that they might be liable to refund me all fees paid to them for the preparation of my tax returns as well as share in the liability of the Interest and Penalties levied as a result of their intentional negligence.
