I have reviewed the paperwork for complaint #[redacted]. The negotiation paperwork clearly shows that the customer negotiated a specific cash dollar amount out the door. That is the amount that we sold the customer the car for. The customer did receive $[redacted] for trade in (not $0 as...
the complaint alleges). I would be more than willing to go over the paperwork with consumer or their tax accountant and show them how they are incorrect. Many local regional banks charge fees for financing a car (or a mortgage for that matter), we have no control over that as we would have gladly accepted the negotiated amount out the door in cash as was what was negotiated and as was sold for. If a bank charges a fee for providing those funds for a customer, they would have to take that up with them. But I would guess that most, if not all banks, charge fees for providing loans.
