Marsh's Construction

Review: Marsh's construction performed minor renovations for a small bathroom. The work effort included replacing a drop ceiling with drywall and crown molding, removing existing flooring and installing new tile and base moulding, and painting the room. The contract also included installing a new vanity and top - these were never done. The molding was installed poorly, had easily visibly large chips and the screws used to secure it to the wall were protruding from the molding by 1/8" (they should have used finishing nails that were recessed with the holes filled). There were gobs of drywall mud and/or caulking on the wall and ceiling. The grouting for the tile was incomplete with several gaps were little or no grout was installed and worse yet, a box of nails was left on one piece of tile with the claim he was not happy with how it was setting so the box of nails was left to hold it in place. When the box was removed several days later, we noticed the tile was cracked! The quality of his work is unacceptable. Many calls were made to Mr. Marsh asking him to return and finish the job. Calls were not returned. His wife was notified of the issue and she said she would have him take care of it. Nothing has been done to date (many many weeks later). Because Mr. Marsh would not return calls nor come back to do the job correctly, I've had other individuals repair most of the shoddy workmanshipDesired Settlement: I'd like a refund for $462 which is 1/2 of the $942 purchase price. The job was never completed and the work that was performed was unacceptable quality.
