Review: On 3-28-2013 I had my vechicle; 2003 Land Rover Discovery tolled to [redacted]'s Foreign Car Center by Trexler's Towing & Auto Repairs for the amount of $80.00. Previously speaking to [redacted] (an employee of Mr. [redacted]) with the understanding to do so. Upon arrival the conversation between [redacted] and I was that the head gaskets where warp. After continous calls to the shop for the next suggestion and weeks passing by because of the backed up services, [redacted] began to search for head gaskets for the model of my vechicle. In our conversation I made it very clear before any decisions should be made that I must be informed first. I had to continue to call [redacted], again trying to get dates of available service. Than he later calls me and tell me that he could not find a left & right head gasket for the truck, however, he did know of two engines that were available. I agreed to purchase the engine for $3,500.00 with 112,000 miles from Mid-Del Auto Parts with cost of labor $1500.00. [redacted] mentioned that he had talked to his boss (Mr. [redacted]), and he requested that some money up front would have to be. No invoice was never given. On 05/31/2013 I paid $500 with my debit card. 6/29/2013, I paid $900. 7/03/2013 I paid $500. 7/05/2013 I paid $500 with my debit card and an additional $400 cash. Continously calling [redacted] and getting know response I eventually ask to speak with the owner, Mr. [redacted]. Upon speaking with him, he seemed very charmed at first. He later became very questionable in ethics as my conversations continue. We talked about the warranty that was coming with the engine. He became very defensive with me stating that I was subject to starting the 90 day warranty for the engine from the day [redacted]'s Foreign Car Center Purchase it from Mid-Del Auto Parts. I was very disappointed in learning that Mr. [redacted] wasnt trying to give me my own warranty upon final payment and leaving of the property. With no doubt this man received this engine at a discounted price than what I purchased it for, there for I would not be subject to the warranty date starting from when he purchased but rather when I made final payment and drove the truck off of his property. Mr. [redacted] was very irrate that I was disagreeing with this. So Irrate to the point of him telling me that "if i'm thinking about a warranty, I can forget it. Even so unethical, to the point of holding my vechicle on hostage. Yes...... many times I call to come in and make final purchase and every time Mr.[redacted] came up with the exscuse of being out of town or not coming into work so I couldnt get my truck. This was a very disstressing expererienc that I have ever encounter with a business. I did occassionally talk to him. He mentioned to me that he did extra things to the vechicle without my permission that increased my balanced. He even admitted after putting the engine in that he had drove the truck more than once and was holding me accountable for paying for the gas too. Mr. [redacted] went as far as charging me to take off my very own parts & putting them back on. He thearten to call the cops after suggesting final payment. I thought it was best not to even show up and I had to get my attorney involved. After telling her this horrific story, she couldnt beleive No invoice was given and that I paid in money of front. She wrote Mr. [redacted] a letter on October 11, 2013 stating: "Dear sir or Madam:

This letter is written in behalf of your customer [redacted] of Felton, Delaware. Ms. [redacted] has advised about numerous concerns involving her truck, which was taken to your shop repairs March of this year. She advised that no estimate was given for the repairs that were made to the vehicle, nor was a invoice provided. At this point, please deliver Ms. [redacted] a copy of an invoice, showing all work that was performed on the vehicle, with a breakdown of the cost of each part and the hours of service devoted to each repair. The invoice should show the total amount your company claims is due for the service and parts. Please also provide a copy of the warranty on the engine that was installed in the vehicle along with an record of the mileage on the engine at the time time of purchase. You are requested to send the requested items directly to Ms. [redacted] at her address in Felton, Delaware, listed above. Your cooperation in this regard is appreciated." Finally I received a call from Mr. [redacted]. He was back to again what seemed to be charming. He agreed to give me a seperate warranty. Well when I call to inform him of coming in to pick up the truck, again he said his family and him was going on vacation. This happen three times. The third time I decided to show up any way 3/28.2014, with a certfied mechanic that once was a employee of Mid-Del. I also decided to record this encounter. When I arrived Mr. [redacted] wasnt there however, [redacted] was. At this point [redacted] stated that he wanted no parts of this business scandal; the orginal guy that started the relationship. He called Mr. [redacted] from the office phone and handed the phone to me. He first stated he was out state "on vacation". He then said again that he didnt want to give me a seperate warranty. Throughout the conversation he just wanted to be argumentive. I continously asked........please I just want my truck, you have done this numerous time, I'm not going to argue with you, I have cash $2,150.......I just want my truck. Well after literally kissing his hine parts and begging he agreed to first come give a seperate warranty and go get it noteirized. Than he change and said because you have some one there with you how about I sign that the warranty begin's today when you leave off the lot and you two sign & [redacted] & I sign. I agreed. He arrived, I gave him the cash, everone sign the 90 day warranty starting from the date leaving off the property. Well when I got in my truck my dash board was disconnected. I notified them and they acted as if it was that way when I brought it to them. Lights where still on in my dash board, for example: Check Engine light.....etc... I immediately took my car to Advance Car Auto to get a dianosis reading. The employee told me that the results was blank. Which in the case of the lights being on, it should of diagnois something. In additon to me taking my truck to get a dianosis before I had it towed to Mr. [redacted] and I had results than. Why did the results for the diagnosis come back with nothing? Well this is what my liscense mechanic told me was done. Some one unplugged the outlet that gives the ability to detec whats wrong with a vehicle. I was also told that a timing could had been put on my engine for it to run for so long too. Both of these are illegal and Criminal offenses. I contacted Mr. [redacted]'s because my truck would not start after I got it home within the 90 day warranty. The secretary answer, I ask for Mr. [redacted], she replied he is not there so I talk to [redacted]. No call has been returned sinceDesired Settlement: I have to pay $1500.00 at Land Rover Discovery for a right Diagnosis. And fix what was destroyed or not fixed by Mr. [redacted]
